Not a lot of info, Not a single pciture (other than the promo cybepunkish one)

Anyway I was oing to ask Swede for a while. How is IKEA actually pronouned. I heard people in Uk & I think US prounaun it as i (english)-kell, but in germany & some other places, it was pronouned l e(english)-kia (like the Korean car brand)

Anyway, I found some additonal info searching youtube

Same here…. My pet peeve is when people pronounce Hyundai “like Sunday” I’m like “NO!!! That last part is like dye/die….Hyundai family is still living

But I too was wondering why Swede wasn't the first to know, he’s out inside man in that region of the world….well maybe starseeker too, the two are our duo of Eastern Europe

Wut?

Anyway, you amerikans butcher it, as you do every swedish NHL players name too.

It's a shortening for "Ingvar Kamprad Elmtaryd Agunnaryd", the first two are the creators name and the last two his home towns... So I guess you can pronounce it how you choose, but we say "Ee-keh-ah".

Nah, don’t blame us, blame the brits, they’re closer anyways and should, by scientific default, pronounce it as it’s native tongue do ;)

You know what, I’m going to ikea for lunch

It should definitely be the American pronunciation. There are more of us, we win.

I did not... looks cool actually.
"Brännboll" is a gimped version of baseball for kids (and adults since we don't know much about baseball and baseball rules here)... not sure how that name was chosen lol
I guess we were lying to ourselves lol I found the OG thread 😆
