While deleting the previous Wii U account and creating a new one with new nintendo ID etc.?

For example, I have Pikmin 3 on my account right now and there's nobody else on the WiiU. But can I delete my account and create a new one with different credentials while keeping Pikmin 3?

Good question. Did some searching and it seems it is both tied to you nintendo Id as well as console.

Some info:

  • You can format the system to remove the Nintendo Network ID without deleting it. Nintendo Network accounts removed in this way will not be deleted from the Wii U (if linked), and can be re-linked to the same Nintendo 3DS system again in the future. For information about formatting the system, click here.
  • Deleting a Nintendo Network ID will also delete the following information associated to the account: Nintendo eShop activity and balance, Friend List, Miiverse activity, and registered e-mail address.
  • If the Nintendo Network ID has also been linked to a Wii U, deleting the account will delete the above information from both systems.
  • Deleted accounts cannot be restored. This includes licenses and funds associated to deleted accounts in the Nintendo eShop.
  • The username associated to a deleted Nintendo Network account cannot be reused to create a new Nintendo Network account.

There might be a way to get your games again if you keep your original Nintendo ID though. But I think it is quite an arduous task of going through public service reps and registering your new console as the console that bought those games.

It is quite funny how similar this is to the Old SEGA practise of having a game built into their console :p. I had one with "Alex Kidd" built in, if it would break down.. you would be screwed :p. Luckily consoles where build like old Nokia Phones back then :D.

But I do hope that Naty finds some way to solve this or that one of us can help him with it. As it is a bit silly of Nintendo that they just don't register them to the account and the console, but allow you to reset it. So when you delete the title from your Wii U, it is only tied to your account and awaiting to be downloaded again to another or the same console.

But I guess then you would even need a connection to delete a game :p.

So basically once you delete the Nintendo ID from system, the pikmin 3 will be gone too then.

Darn.
