Killing in game chat while skyping

A friend on my friend's list sent me this message and I don't really play multiplayer and haven't used skype yet so I thought I'd ask here if anyone knows the answer to his question:

hey fire I didn't know if u knew how to kill in game chat while using Skype because if you Skype and u use the standard headset for skyping ppl can hear u in game and I didn't know if u have seen any options to stop that from happing thx fire

Don't know, this is coming from one of friend's on Live. Haven't tried using it myself yet.

You can't snap Skype but I think it can run in the background while you play. As to the original question, I think all you can do is not skype during a game. I don't think there is a way around this yet. Seen some comments about this on gamefaq and reddit as well.

Well, with Battlefield, he could put in the game headset into the controller and then just mute it. As voice is limited to your squad in that game, i think that would work.
