Legalizing marijuana has led to a thriving black market in CO

So the black market is growing because marijuana is still illegal in other states. I think the solution is very clear... :hehe::cool:

Not exactly. It has more to do with the fact that the BM undercuts retailers by a substantial margin.

Kind of like how Amazon sells more TVs than Best Buy due to lack of sales tax (for some states) and lower costs.
 
It's stupid for them to try and regulate "who" gets to grow pot, when it's been grown by these folks for ages.


It's r******d. Seriously. Pot should be legal to obtain, smoke, grow, etc. What a freaking joke all this is. It's like saying I could eat bacon, buy bacon...but it's illegal for me to raise my own pigs, and label me a criminal when I do.

Thats the same argument the Smoking prohibitionist made when they started making smoking illegal in bars and nightclubs. The reality is that it killed off the bar and nightclub business, to the point that LA and San Diego have the bar and nightclub scenes of much smaller cities where smoking is allowed. (never mind last call being at freaking 12:30 am in california)

Liberals ruin everything, and now they have set their sight on marijuana. Give it 10 years of liberal (Obamaesque) regulation and no one will want to smoke pot either.

Then the US will be just like Saudi Arabia and all vices like that will be totally outlawed.

Remember these are the same people who outlawed the pot and alcohol in the first place during prohibition.

I think the thread title is misleading. Legalizing mj hasn't "led to a thriving black market." The black market was already there. There's no indication in the article that legalization has led to an increase. Instead, the article is saying the black market for mj still exists. Which is not terribly surprising. Did people expect it to disappear after 3 months, especially when people already had established relationships with dealers who can get it cheaper than in stores? That's very unrealistic, imo. Realistically, you could hope for a significant decrease after after a year or two, and you would never expect it to go away completely, if it's substantially cheaper than the store-bought versions.

please tell me you're kidding. Regulation can't be worse than what it is now for almost everywhere....flat out illegal to sell AND use.

Are you really going to blame liberals and obama for regulating, but not attack the fact that it would be illegal totally if not for the liberals?

I am going to remind you that there was more drinking DURING prohibition than there was after it. Liberals kill ~everything~. No exceptions.

Give it two years, and you are gonna start seeing stories about children dying from appendicitis because all the hospitals have gone out of business and there are no more doctors, because they have all been thrown in jail because of Obamas other fascist ~equality~ regulations...

Shees dude, next you are gonna tell me that Obama is not regulating the arts by throwing artists in jail for refusing to photograph gay weddings...
