October is crowded.

Horizon4
Battlefield 5
AC:Odyssey
and doesn't Red Dead Redemption 2 release late October too.

Of those I’m only getting two, one of which will be included in gamepass... 2018 seems like a dry year for first party exclusives on XBO and PS4.

I agree on a dry exclusive end of year.

I won't be buying all 4 of those either. Would be a bit silly. I will play Horizon 4 via game pass and then maybe buy it if it gets a nice discount during Balck Friday. AC:Odyssey will be put on the back burner. Will be buying Battlefield 5 and RDR 2

For 2018 from that list it looks like only Horizon 4 and Tomb Raider are confirmed purchases.

Battlefield V is a wait and see what Union VGF thinks.

I would be wary of doing that with Battlefield 5. There are some huge changes which will change up how the game plays and it will take most a while to get used to it. I am expecting a lot of complaints around attrition at the start, people are just not used to it. Snipers will be crying all day long. Tank whores will be crying because they can't run around the entire game without running out of ammo, etc. 3D spotting is gone--except from a scout gadget so it will be harder for people to see the enemy.

Might be better off getting EA Access for a month and playing the trial.

My only issue right now is the 2d (minimap) spotting. It looks ridiculous how many and how long you see enemies from one flare....then add in that support can use the flare and keep resupplying himself means every one will be highlighted at all times. This flare needs to go, completely, imo.

I still need to see the progression system though. How deep it is and howbig of an impact the specialisations really have. Easily my biggest ? mark, right now.

If there is a free EA Access trial I could go that route too.

Resident Evil 2 remake is probably my next new game purchase going off that list. The games before that including Spider-Man, Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed, StarLink, Battlefield 5, and Fallout 76 are all eventually purchases.

Oct. 26th

So it's:

AC: Odyssey on Oct. 5th

Forza Horizon 4 on Oct. 11th.

Battlefield V on Oct. 19th.

Then RDR 2 on Oct. 26th.

There's probably something else releasing in that month that I didn't list.
