Major Nelson demonstrates booting up an Xbox One from low power mode - 13 seconds

It will slow down over time I take it?
My 360 takes way longer now than it did at first.
Depends. Seeing as the xbox360 was basically never meant to hold as many files in an organized manner as it ended up doing (keep in mind the HDD was 20gigs which was good for the first 2 years for just about everyone) i'm not surprised the more content you had the slower the 360 got.

I'd imagine the Xbox One was built with this in mind and will organize data in a more efficient manner.

I just timed my Xbox 360's boot up. Took nearly a minute and a half. I think most of the time was spent loading content from Live servers.

This girl is also the star in The To Do List. It's an awesome movie.

Nice and fast. I'll boot up Xbox more often to web surf on the big screen or use my Xbox music pass now.

The main reason the current dash has slowed down is because of all the stuff that was added with very little RAM to load it. The xbox one has plenty of RAM for the OS's so the performance should be pretty much the same throughout the lifecycle.

That is almost like the exact opposite of how load times work. lol

If the 360 boot time increased it's because of the increased amount of processing done at startup due to the OS becoming more complicated.
