Microsoft Working on AAA Free to Play Game

In the IGN article about this subject it also states this:

Additionally, Microsoft is hiring a creative director to work closely with Killer Instinct's Ken Lobb and "revisit back catalog of existing IP" for experiences in and "beyond the living room" and "beyond the console." Some of these games, heading to Xbox One, are owned by Microsoft. Others are not.

I find that last part very interesting. Multiple games, some Microsoft IPs, others not. State of Decay? Crackdown? Banjo? Gears? Viva Pinata? Lots of possibilities. Can't wait.

Viva Pinata seems to make sense. It's a pretty well developed property with a cartoon series and everything, although it has been dormant for a couple of years.

Topics like this make me sad because everyone gets reminded of all the awesome, though obscure, exclusives the og xbox had.

Advent Rising...now that's quite a trip.

How's mechassault/warrior/whatever doing? I assume that because it's apart of like...the "battletech" universe, it's off limits.

I'm guessing (and hoping) it's Next-gen State of Decay... just imagine.

Gears would be awesome.
That would be.

Get into clans, everyone's character has some RPG aspects to him and roam the land taking down Locust scum. Open field battles, liberating towns, underground bunkers to raid, forts to defend etc...
