Microsoft's E3 Conference

Like to hear some update on preordering digital games this year as well or am I gonna have to go to gamestop to get halo 5 beta?

MS delivered on their promise...little executives on stage, but DAMN all those CG trailers. Are these new exclusives that far off that they cant show gameplay? I cannot get hyped for a game with CG trailers. And WHY did they play with my feelings with Conker? That was THE moment to announce a brand new Conker game....instead....he's in Project Spark.......ok...fun. I saw some folks on other forums saying...face it...Rare is dead. And well, we'll see. I sure hope they are working on something cool but i sure as hell am not getting my hopes up.

As for that AC Unity footage. Do we believe that is X1 footage? The aliasing looked so damn good in the beginning parts of the footage with all those people. I;d say it's pc.

I was disappointed that we didnt see anything from the studio that made State of Decay or Epic. Also Ryse 2 would have been awesome. Are there any new or unannounced games being shown this week or was yesterday it?

I'm just glad that I'm not so jaded that I could actually enjoy the show and be excited about the things to come. I'd say as a whole, other than EA's poor showing, that it has been a good E3 thus far. I'm so excited for games; it's great to be a gamer. Bring them on.

I thought EA showed some good stuff, the golf game, DA, ME and that untitled/announced ip had some nice looking environments

Microsoft, though hampered by the amount of CG (I get it, can't show what's not ready), ticked all the boxes. I see people call that conker thing cruel, but it's only been a short time (relatively speaking) since Spencer took over. You can be sure the plans for that sort of thing were only fairly recent, lucky to get anything at all. (Same voice actor too I think, made me giddy) Plus the work that's going into that halo collection just trumps the entire rest of the show for me.

EA's on the other hand, I thought was abysmal. First they have visceral waste their talent on a side project battlefield that's gonna be trumped by the next cod and probably even rainbow six, sports, sports, sports, "early concept," and the lack of star wars, even CG would have sufficed, but it was just a waste of my time.
A dude running to a speeder then driving away isn't good enough. 1 out of 10 doesn't cut it.
Mirrors Edge looked nice at least, but still, "early concept" bs. I don't know how they plan to release some of these things this/next year when they look the way they do. But EA is notorious around the internet for releasing unfinished products, I guess.

Ubisoft needs to cut the casual turd loose of their presentations. I'm willing to bet no one at that conference was excited to see Just Dance Go, or whatever the hell that phone thing was. They made all the classic mistakes, needless celebrity presenters, stilted "acting" on the stage, and people dancing. At least the far cry thing was strong but come on.

And what's with sony dragging on with the statistics? Related note: Thank god no mans sky is only a timed exclusive.

Mostly everything coming out this year or early next year had game play footage.

Call of Duty
Fable
Sunset Overdrive
Withcer 3
Assassins Creed Unity
The Division
Halo
Inside
Ori and the Blind Forest

You can't have game play demo after game play demo or your conference will be 3 hours long.

Definitely agree about EA. Let down of E3 not showing any Battlefront.

Yeah. The EA show was so frustrating. They seem to have the games that everybody wants, and then they go and do that on the biggest gaming stage. Annoying. Oh, and do not even get me started on Criterion's project :smash::smash:

I give Microsoft a B. They might have won E3, but they didn't have any fun MEGATON's like I wanted. Good thing I held back my expectations.
