And my son trained Baraka with a silver spoon
Subzeros blue, but he’ll have a skin soon
When you coming home dad?
I don’t know when
We’ll get together then.
You can disembowel me then.

Been trying to do Rain's down the drain brutality and it didn't work so I looked it up and it apparently it's swapped with the last one you unlock so it'll tell you that you've unlocked it when you haven't lol. Also Sub Zero's kameo brutality doesn't work, I guess it's supposed to be a throw and down down but it has it labeled as something else.
They had some issues with this kind of thing in MK11 tooYup. I don't know how they messed up the brutality unlocking mechanisms. Seems like something that would've been easily caught in QA testing.
Playing the regular Towers and feeling the absurdity of the content unlock system. I dunno, maybe they think this is how to keep a fighting game feeling fresh.
Honestly, I think it's fine to do Skins and Gear this way, but I dislike having to unlock the Brutalities.
Honestly... I'm torn whether this is a better game than 11...I mean, the combat is... better, I think, but there's a lack of OG characters (lack of characters as a whole honestly), the graphics is technically better, but I'm not sure if I really like the art direction here...I thought 11 nailed it and the lighting prob is better in 1 but I think it's too light. The stages. look great but I think 11 had cooler stages. I miss the krypt. I think it was a mistake to just give us one gear per character. There's too few skins (and the unlockable ones are too heavy on color swapping. I want some og hooded costumes for sub zero and scorpion (the "hooded" unlockables look bad). Raiden and Kung Lao look too much alike. Johnny Cage face look r******d.
Idk, I love 11, if I had friends over I prob rather play that with all the cool DLC characters (TMNT!).... give me Super Shredder and I might change my mind though lol
I've mostly been playing Invasion then go to easy Novice towers mostly to mess with the Brutalities I unlock. I also play offline because I know I'll get destroyed by people that have more time than me to game . Actually, one nitpick relating to learning the game is in MK11 you could select a few move inputs from the list, press Y, and they would overlay on the screen. I feel like now I have to either keep hitting Start to go the moves list or find a website with the moves and have them on my Tablet next to my gaming laptop.
Some of my impression is that the Kameo fighters kind of both add to and dilute the feel of the gameplay and as an Offline Player, I don't really see the character clash dialogue.
Many intros and outros in MK11 were absolutely sick. This doesn't affect gameplay experience directly, but added a lot to the vibe of the MK gameplay experience. In MK1, they have to share the intro stance with the Kameo partner.
The 2nd on in this video of Scorpion's Firenado intro is so cool. I think all these have a different 'attitude' as MK1 characters introduce themselves throwing a bunch of punches and kicks. MK11 Intro mostly just stroll in slowly knowing. Maybe this is partly because MK1 is a reset and everyone is busted down to being new.
There are some trade-offs I guess as Raiden's lightning looks increadible in MK1. Or in general many powers have a better 'Bloom' effect to lightning, fire, or magic.
Otherwise, I think the Gear is still a neat idea, but NRS can't figure out how to apply it. They mistakenly decided to have it all resemble RPG gear as in MK11 or even INJUSTICE 2 the pieces would apply bonuses. They made something that is visually cool into a feature that is way to complicated. This is a fighting game, not an RPG.
Honestly, from what I've seen, the only real problem is the extreme loading times and the bugs and glitches... the game looking like a blurry mess and ps3 era textures isn't really surprising and something switch owners should've expected tbhMortal Kombat 1 on Switch receives new update promising performance improvements
