It's not the exact same though, it's roughly twice as big and the existing areas have been upgraded as well.
Why are some people such babies? I'm talking about gaming in general and used gears as an example because it's one you guys will understand. Halo isn't much different from game to game either, before the reboot god of war followed the same formula from game to game as well and Ragnarök just improved on things over God of War 2018 so they are now following the newer formula they've started. That's how gaming works and always has, it's just funny to me how xbox fans think they make some kind of point talking about Spider-Man 2 when every franchise that every company puts out is guilty of the same thing.
Spider-Man has used the same world for 6 years and 3 games.
Halo hasn't done that.
Gears hasn't done that.
Can't think of any game that has done that in recent memory.
It is the only reason Insomniac has made 4 games in 6 years.

No. While COD is rehashing older content it isn't giving you the same 10 to 15 maps every game.
Doing the same or similar isn't necessarily a bad thing ... Many people enjoy it and that's why it's still successful , just look at all the remakes / reiterations of the popular IPs. How many times has people raced the same tracks in forza, gt, Mario Kart racing or play the same maps in battlefields , counterstrike , cod or play the same teams in NBA 2k, Fifa , NHL year after year yet they are still the most popular games annually. There is a reason for that and it is because it's still fun and enjoyable with updated visuals while feeling familiar.
Sure there are times when games change it up and it's appreciated like FF16 and Alan wake 2, baldurs gate 3. But as much as some say it feels like the same, people don't like change all at once and there is nothing wrong with that.

Plus when you enter ducts into buildings , those are all new areas as well. They also kept improving the gameplay and added new mechanics where you can now travel across water into Queens and Brooklyn.
Funny how the 2 fanboys of the platform known for these crappy things are the 2 most dogged defenders of it. Lolz.

It's Sunday and I'm off, why we are we doing this? No one attacking S2 from what I see. I still want to play it at some point. And I think racing games and mp maps are a poor example of this. People play these over again to get better at them and more strategic.

Pretty sure calling Spiderman 2 a DLC and using the same map as the first as if nothing else has changed is not something you would deem positive lol. They don't mention Rift Apart was also released during this time period so instead of praising studios that are actually super efficient at their job, they talk down on it. What's funny is some of these people probably never played the first , miles and Spiderman 2 yet talk like they know

Tears of the Kingdom used the same exact map as Breath of the Wild. Notice this was never brought up by the same people who are saying the same about Spiderman 2. Do they call TotK a DLC as well and downplay it's GOTY quality ? No. Because they are playing console wars rhetoric instead of these actual games because if they did, they wouldn't say what they said.
Like I said, there is an entirely new story within Spiderman 2 / TLOU . The city is double the size. There's new visual updates and more density and new inside areas. Same people who think these are outdated still play the crap out of other games who do the same like the ones I have mentioned. That's being hypocritical.

Have you played Zelda BOTW and TOTK? My wife has beaten both said even though the games take place in the same world maps/games were different. Get new material you obviously have no clue what you’re talking about, but what else is new…
