new achievement sound spotted in Project Spark?

the latest Project Spark run through shows what looks to be an achievement popping up at the 3:55ish mark.

Cool. I was interested to see what the new achievement popping "dialog" would look like. Much less intrusive it seems.
 
The sound that is played is the Windows Notify System Generic wav sound. This leads me to believe they were playing Spark on a PC, so it's not necessarily the new Xbox One achievement sound.
 
It's only from the Challenges an not the new Achievement unlockes Jingle

It says, "Project Spark Challenges: Completed It's Alive You Earned 20 Creation Credits"

My guess is it is specific to Project Spark as a progress indicator, or it is representative of the new challenges for the X1.

This game looks phenomenal. Only gripe is that it seems the only visuals/textures you can do are cartoony-ish??? I wonder if the art tools allow for gritty realistic looking detail.

Yeah I was actually wondering that too. It's like every game made has to be cartoon/fantasy themed game. I wonder if that's just all they are showing currently, or if they have texture packs. Or possibly will have new textures for download after the game releases.
 
It's the Windows 8 notification sound. It's crazy how much of Windows 8 is rubbing off on Xbox One, and I would say that is a very good thing. Windows 8 UI is perfrect for consoles.
 
That new achievement is a bit disappointing. I was hoping for something... a bit more at least. Hopefully it's something else as mentioned. I love my achievement pop. It's damn good stuff.
 
Wow, that's the exact same sound (and look) as the Windows 8 notifications (not necessarily a bad thing).
 
If that's how achievements are notified now, I'm good with that. Less intrusive than the current 360 way.

Looking at the KI vid, that notification seems like a personal achievement. The small top right yellow notification is a challenge achievement (such as a community based one).

Maybe both kinds of have different types of notifications??? Or based on vids, the latest one is the new way?
 
I'm sitting beside the folk that think it may be a game specific challenge unlock, but I'd take it if it were in fact the new achievement unlock system.
 
^thats is def. not the achievement look.

Nor is the OP the sound. Major Nelson confirmed a while ago the achievement/notification sound is exactly the same as the xbox360. Also the toast notification looks like:

There have been a ton of mocks of x1 related stuff....from all Microsoft has officially shown (those pics i posted are straight from microsoft) their new toast notification is that box and the bar at the bottom is a timer bar that shows you how long the notification will remain.

Having the old oval style pop up just for achievements would seem a bit random.

That GIF he posted of the Achievement unlocking is from the Killer Instinct Twitch stream straight from Microsoft Twitch channel. That look and sound (which is the same sound as the 360's) is what it will be.
 
Did a bit more digging and found another screen with that similar style...wonder if they aren't going with the box style at all now or if notifications are just different from achievements

Maybe we can customize their aesthetic this time around? That would be cool.
