It's cheaper to make and they wanted to keep the same design language, and yeah the disc model does look worse :.) The original one is still ugly too, the slim isn't so bad though.Can't believe they managed to make the new model even uglier than the first

2 gens from now... you get a base unit then have to buy all the other parts separately and put it together yourself.
