I love Pokemon, and I'm buying both as I normally do, but that demo dragged. Treating your fans like idiots is not the way to sell a game.
I would have harvested my mothers ovaries by hand, had they announced a 3D Pokemon Rpg... Back in the N64 days.
All those f***ing stadium games killed it. The license is gold. Its a no brainer to make a Final Fantasy style game. Or a Witcher/fallout style one I guess.
But noooooo. Handheld only!
I'm not sure I get the complaints from Plainview at all. Looks like he went into this wanting to hate everything and is just trolling for no reason.
What are you talking about? The first full hour was Pokemon. I stepped away and now they're re-showing the same demo I was watching earlier with just different people talking?
The presentation was brutally bad. It was awful. It was showcasing an extremely bland, and boring, part of the game. Add to the horrible dialogue that was going on and the translations. It was a bad showing for the game.
As for the game itself, I dislike the art direction, a LOT! It's no my cup of tea. This is from someone who actually liked the cell shaded look of years back. When I saw the demo from a few years back, the one I posted, THAT'S the Zelda I want to see. That looks amazing. That has a Zelda feel to it. This game has a very kiddie, family fun feel and look to it. Not a fan.
I look forward to you posting a cliffs about what's great about it. I was too bored with it and turned it off. I'm happy you're loving it and it seems to be delivering what you were looking for. Please post a summary of everything you liked about it and anything you disliked.
