So despite people claiming no stock its managed to sell another million in under a month since Sony announced 2.1M?
it was just a example I don't know what the PS4 numbers are at this moment taking a guess id say 3.2-3.6 million by years end.
What does a story on the 4th have to do with Microsoft's figures released on the 11th where they stated they sold "over 2m," Xbox One's?
They claimed they sold 1M in 24 hours. And there's no reason to believe they didn't. What this story is referring to was the comment my Yussuf Mehdi (after the Sony PS4's 2.1M sales announcement) that the consoles were sold out in stores across the world. On December 4th. The retailers were disputing that 'sold out' part, not the 1M sold through on November 22..
Hardly. They didn't say it was sold out at every location of every retailer across the world - just that it was sold out at retailers across the world, which means if there are significant numbers of retail locations in the markets that they're selling in who are sold out, it's a fair statement. It also doesn't at all change that they did sell 1M in under 24 hours, nor does it assert anywhere in the article that it's untrue. If you want to bash "bs on ms part" stick to the 111,111 per day nonsense figure - that is worthy of ridicule.
Seems like at least in NA, we are already beyond "supply constraints" for both consoles.

Xbox One can be easily found at Best Buy, has been that way for days.. PS4 had a heavily advertised Walmart shipment on Sunday, which is still in stock at tons of locations.
Granted either company could see that and shift more units to WW locations and we'd suddenly have a stock shortage again in the US, but at the very least it appears both companies are CAPABLE of outpacing immediate demand in North America right now, and while they might not be the easiest product to obtain (have to know which retailer has more than enough, so some people might still be waiting for stock) it's nothing like 360/PS3 during their launch Decembers. (of course they've sold 5-6 times their launches already.)

That wasn't retailers saying anything.. it was some guy working at some web site claiming he called around to stores, and some had Xbox One's in stock, some didn't.
No retailer has spoken out against MS's claims.
Just yesterday Jack Tretton was claiming PS4's were impossible to find.. they aren't.. they have been in stock at Walmarts all over the US since Sunday.
Was he wrong? Lying? BSing?
Not really.. his timing was just bad.. a week ago they were really hard to find. But I could write the same article about him and claim "retailers disagree"..
A product that is "selling out" has to be in stock at some point to sell out in the first place.. MS's comment was pretty accurate right up until about last week.. they seem to have hit the wall on "Selling out" right around the time Yusef said that.

Anyway http://www.walmart.com/ip/Playstation-4-Console-PS4/28802344 are sold out online and limited to sold out in the areas I live in.
My buddy just recently got one at gamestop after waiting in line 4 hours... demand is still strong
I didn't say demand wasn't strong... but PS4's have been sitting on shelves at 3 Walmart's since Sunday within 20 minutes of me, and I live in a major metro area.
And as you just said, they are in stock near you too.
Which.. is the only thing the article you linked to, which you claim proves MS are BS'ing liars.. claimed.. that at one point in time a guy called a few stores and some of them had Xbox One stock.
That's neat that some guy you know waited in line for 4 hours "recently".. if he'd waited until this past Sunday he'd have easily found one at Walmart.. he could've slacked until today and found one..

Try it yourself.. change it to your home town.. Mixture of In Stock and Out of Stock.. not even any nearby that say Limited Stock.

How come you claimed "Out of stock or limited" if there are no Limited, but only Out of Stock and tons of "In Stock" where you live?
