In the US, the Xbox 360 has 5342 games.

I consider myself and my crew a diverse group of gamers. As long as it is a fps we'll play it. Also if it is a sports or driving game with guns we'll try it.

Looks like Val's strive for PS3 game count came to a halt. Notice how he stopped by purposely not including Xbox 360's downloadable games, which are in the 1,000s.

XBLIG's indie games is a higher count than PS3's discs and PSN games combined. And with indie games, you don't get more diverse. You get all kinds of weird games you'd never see on a disc, and even non-games. It's the only place to get software like button and audio calibration.

But as I said before, diverse gaming doesn't mean much when it comes to sales and what people want to play.... which is the usual popular AAA games that have been going on decades. I don't see the best sellers like EA Sports, CoD, BF, GTA and such dropping anytime soon. And the games are $60 too. So right there, price is something is a non-factor. If indie gaming was so good, so diverse and so many gamers wanted it instead of the usual annual sequel, then everyone would be stocking up on $2 indies and "name your price" humble bundles where you can score 6 games for $6 if you wanted to.

You can have the most diverse, coolest, and high quality indie game selling for $1, and most gamers will still skip it and would rather play the 10th iteration of FIFA or CoD for $60.

Fact is Sony has a more diverse group of exclusives than MS and a larger amount of exclusives.

Reviews I don't know. Quantity of games, the Xbox has the PS beat by about 3500 games.

Is ps1 games included? All ps3 systems are backward compatible with all ps1 games. Also the fatty ps3 systems are backward compatible with all ps2 games.

I agree. But what I'm saying is how is something like Gravity Rush anymore diverse than Sea of Thieves? It depends on how you look at at it.

But in general yeah Sony is more diverse. They also have more studios. So I would hope they would have more.

More diverse is all I was saying. That comparison is irrelevant but you are correct....id say both of those games would be considered diverse compared to the norm.

Sony having much less money(as certain trolls constantly mention) and more studios proves my point/s that Sony is a far better gaming company and that MS is clueless when it comes to gaming.

They run a multi-billion dollar gaming company and employ some of the greatest and most creative minds on the planet. That they don't cater to your idea of what is good gaming isn't enough to for you to discount their overall success.

And you know they are about to release the greatest console ever made on this planet, I honestly feel bad for you when you say the things you do as you belittle yourself too often here. He doesn't realize everyone laughs at him. He probably thinks he doesn't get banned in the Xbox forum because he thinks he's clever. When in reality, he doesn't get banned because nobody wants him banned there. It makes the forum more fun.

The forum can get dry sometimes, since he's the only big time Sony fan left when all the other guys like consolewarz and such are all perma-banned. Having Val here seemingly 24/7 keeps the banter going.

Being a sales thread....
They are a never console winning generation console maker.
They barely made a game that got the majority of GOTY awards.
Maybe 3-5 times/and that's being generous and that's since they started making games PC and console included.

Greatest console will be judged by the *cough* exclusive games it plays and how they and it sells.
For the above to happen MS would to do a complete 360 in the way they deal with gaming and who really thinks this is going to happen?

Before, it included number of games. When he found out Xbox 360 has more games than PS3 due to all those digital titles (1,000s more), suddenly game count isn't important anymore for last gen battles. he forgot 360 has more digital games, so he changed his stance to game count for "physical discs only".

His previous winning standard also had to do with metacritic ratings. But when Xbox 360 and X1 games can have better metascores than the PS3 or PS4 version (apples to apples comparisons), suddenly it changed from general metascore ratings to comparing metascores of exclusive games vs. exclusive games, which is an odd comparison since it's not even the same kind of game being compared.

A valid comparison would be let's say Forza 5/6 or FH 2/3 vs. Driveclub, but Val would rather compare Forza 6 to TLoU Remastered.

Gears 4 should be compared to Killzone, but he'd rather do a showdown like Bloodborne beats Gears.

Other sensible comparisons would be KI vs SF5, or Project Spark vs LBP3, or Ryse vs 1886, or maybe Recore vs Knack, but he'd probably detour to something like Journey Remastered vs. Recore.
