No first party games until at least April of 2025.

Sony Interactive Entertainmentdoes not plan to release “any new major existing franchise titles next fiscal year,” which ends on March 31, 2025, the company said during its fiscal year 2023 Q3 earnings briefing.

“Regarding first-party software, we aim to continue to focus on producing high-quality works and developing live service games,” Sony Group president, chief operating officer, and chief financial officer Hiroki Totoki said. “But while major projects are currently under development, we do not plan to release any new major existing franchise titles next fiscal year (Editor’s Note: begins April 1, 2024 and ends March 31, 2025) like God of War Ragnarokand Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.”

"No first party games" isn't true. There just won't be any big sequels.

Still haven't played this.

Gave up on it. It's almost arrogance not to offer any sort of tutorial made it a chore to play and I just gave up. Lock picking in particular was dreadful.

Think they changed it with updates but I've not bothered to install it again.

I cant seem to find it but there’s some article/tweet out there, from a game industry outlet, that states that this year will be a bad year for consoles, number wise. That sales are gonna drop significantly in every facet, from consoles and accessories to just the amount of games in overall amount sold.

If you don't want to click here's the rest of the tweet

PlayStation Q3PS hardware +8%Network Services +12%Total gaming revenue +16%PlayStation still has higher total quarterly revenue than Xbox, despite Xbox adding Activision Blizzard King; $10.2bn for PlayStation and $7.1bn for Xbox ($5bn without ABK). Means PS revenue is 44% higher than Xbox and ABK combined. 104% higher without ABK included.

Response to someone asking about profit.
