I was pumped about the swimsuits, but that entire mini-game section was a disaster and wasn't worth it in the endDang, swimsuits didn’t help?

I can agree with this take
Have to disagree, at least with Game Pass, which doesn't have just one model. It also does have models that include dollars beyond the development. Developers have already praised that with Game Pass.
Maybe he is speaking specifically of PS Plus?
Ori developer said they no longer receive money post development. He never said they never received post development. MS also confirmed that they have models that payout post development.Didn't Ori or another studio say that they don't get any money after the subscription deal ? Don't recall.
Also Layden mentions Gamepass specifically.
"The platform itself, whether its Game Pass or for that matter PS Plus, the platform can make money, it can sustain itself... I'm talking about the developer who made the game, who put it out there"
Let me see if I can find that tweet from Moon

We have posted numerous times here from other devs that get revenue (and profit) post development with Game Pass. Obviously Shawn doesn't work for MS (but did for Sony).
We will trust the game developers over Shawn in this instance.
You will have to go back in the search feature here and find the numerous posts that have covered this. You have asked this question multiple times here over the years, and the links and responses are here. I am not going to do the search for you, only to be asked yet again in a year to do the same search for you. What are the different models and how do they differentiate which studios get which monetary model?
Kinda words it as if it’s aaa games from Xbox and not third party. Also makes it sound like the sole purpose of a subscription service is to fund said aaa games.Have to disagree, at least with Game Pass, which doesn't have just one model. You see, when a dev and a contract like each other they set things in which they agree too and then continue to make said game. Some cases the game was designed with it in mind, most cases it’s not… because fluidity? What are the different models and how do they differentiate which studios get which monetary model?
