One is open world and one is a hybrid sim/arcade dedicated to visuals so they're pretty much different games to me but I guess I could get FH2 later then. I'm just waiting for SO to be able to preorder/preload.
I just mean they are both arcade racers, and you already have a Forza this year. I was just saying, if you can only choose between FH2 or Sunset, I would do Sunset if I were you. If you have DC and Sunset, you should be as happy as a pig in s***.

I didn't preorder DC actually. But I guess I'll try out the PS+ version first and see.

Well good thing you all havent ran into my drivatar yet.

If you've seen the "I'm a bus" gif, then you have an idea about my driving style.

What view do you guys use? I like to see my car, but I'm terrible in that view. I pretty much always do the hood view, though sometimes do cockpit.

Cockpit for me, but sometimes I like to use Bumper view to.

I actually like the bumper cam. I can't see how anyone can race while viewing the car in third person.

Just imagine if you could have a view like that while actually driving. That'd be too freaky.

Ha. The sense of speed is pretty crappy in third person in this game too, it all seems much faster in the cockpit or on the hood.

A free Infiniti car pack coming in August according to an add I saw on XBL.

When I was younger the 3rd person view was the only way I could play racers, but as I have got older the cockpit view has become a far more enjoyable & immersive view.

Makes sense though. I mean the closer to the road you get the faster it should seem. Bumper view, for example, has a faster sense of speed than cockpit view.

Ouch....so much for dynamic. That is pretty sad.

Forza Horizon 2 Eye's On:

You can tell the difference in art style that's very apparent in this gif.

Directly comparing the two, the first one clearly aims more for realism. Forza is definitely more colourful. The developers of FH2 said water will build up realistically on the ground, puddles and stuff, GTA V has that too, i love it. So far though this is mostly clearly seen in the Driveclub footage, but who knows. Comic Con is soon, right? FH2's gonna be there, surely we'll get some new footage, definitely during Gamescom. I know for sure i am gonna love this game.

Well Gamescom and comic con are separated by a mere 5 days. So I would assume whatever we see at gamescom will be what they have/show at comic con

Cockpit view all the way for me. I use nothing else. Learn to use your mirrors for keeping track of cars in your blind spot.

Sorry for replying to this thread, but apparently the mods allowed Haggis to post the above statement, so I think it's ok to reply to it

“great work with the water effects in drive club and I believe that is why it looks so real.”

Really ? DC use mirrored water effects, check this picture, and plz don't use great water effects in the same sentence as DC again.
draw a line in the middle of the car hood and you'll see the rain drops are exactly the same on both sides - strange rain and most unrealistic I've ever seen - 'nuff said
FYI this is a screenshot from Project CARS...

"If you tend to take a particular short-cut numerous times the game will learn your affinity for that specific route and your Drivatar is likely to take it during races. If you favour sticking to the road rather than ploughing through fields, your Drivatar will take a similarly straight-laced approach."
I'm afraid that after driving against drivatars i F5 I can never go back to "normal AI" racing games. Looking forward to see some crazy routes through the open landscapes in FH2

Not a bad start. I hope the next hundred has my Mk2 Ford Escort in it.
Along the same lines an old fiesta Xr2 wouldn't be a bad thing either. That Mk2 Escort must be worth a few quid now. Cracking motor.

The Xr2 brings back some memories. That and the Escort xr3i. Would love a Capri too:grin:

They do have the Sierra Cosworth in though:bang:
