Last night me and a buddy tried to play some BF4. I sent him a party invite and he joined fine. When we tried to switch to party chat, we kept getting an error message. Anyone else having thus problem? Are the ports that need to be forwarded the same as the Xbox 360? Do I need to change those maybe?

Also, is there an easy way to invite someone to a game? In BF4, the only way I could find was in the squad area when I hit A on an empty squad spot, put if the person that you want to invite is in your party, the option isn't there. I couldn't find a way to send an invite in the dashboard.

It's happening a lot. You need to restart your Xbox One usually to correct it. Either that or there are new ports that you have to open for Xbox One. Go in your Settings, then look at your Network Settings, look at the details in the middle, does it say: Open NAT? Mine was Strict even though I had all the 360 ports open from before on the new IP Address. (this if if you're using a router of course)

Old ports that need open: (I just open both for all listed, no big deal)
  • Port 88 (UDP)
  • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
  • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
  • Port 80 (TCP

New ports that need opened:
  • Port 500 (UDP)
  • UDP Port 3544 (UDP)
  • UDP Port 4500 (UDP)

My friend had this issue: he reset his Xbox and it's been working fine since he did that.
