Persona 5 New Trailer

Just saw it. Looks pretty interesting. Always heard that the production values of Persona series are amazing. Definitely interested in trying out this turn based JRPG with hints of Sims in it.
People go goo-goo over the Persona series, but I don't get the appeal. But then, I've never really enjoyed JRPGs, particularly the top-down ones like this. Ah well, hope it's good, for those who enjoy these sorts of things.
I was going to yell at the dude before me for calling it a top-down RPG, but that is the Etrian Mystery Dungeon for the 3DS trailer in the title. It's still a good game, but not close to the mastery of the P5 trailer.
As excited as I am, the game seems too anime-strong. I still need to try out the fourth game. But I can get into it if it is anything like the Tales of Vesperia gameplay-wise. I'm just not a big fan of these anime stories because they are largely about a group of friends preaching about friendship and fighting monsters, power up this, power up that, yadayadayada. Usually very corny and hard to engage yourself in.
Persona 4 is considered up there with the best games of all time and is my favorite game. Give it a shot as it is just a great overall experience.
anyone know why these games never come out to xbox? just curious since 360 had catherine i never really understood if this series was exclusive or not.
Because the Xbox is non-existent in Japan.
Also expect this to become more common. The Japanese devs put games onto the 360 because it was doing great worldwide and they wanted to capture that market despite poor sales in Japan. This time no such scenario, Xbox One is dead in Japan and the PS4 is the global console and the way for Japanese developers to capture a global market.And the PS4 is doing alright in Japan too, so win-win for Japanese devs.

Well we will be seeing Level 5's new RPG at E3, they should tell you how much SCE think of it. You don't show stuff at E3 unless it is damn good. There is probably more coming but the PS4 does need greater sales in Japan to spur this on. How Final Fantasy type 0 sells on the PS4 in Japan will be interesting.
