PSN needs a wholesale revamp like many have been saying forever. Maybe this issue with Helldivers will give Sony pause to look into some of the problems.

Could PlayStation have a dip in numbers/sells with future titles after the release of ghost of Tsushima on pc? They said all future titles after that would require a psn account, which it nor PlayStation exist in 177 countries. So they themselves are artificial reducing their reach, on PC.

For now, I can’t find the article, I could be remembering something wrong, but I think eventually all new titles will require it, for things such as in game cross buy and cross progression from stores and console.

If true, then I can see PS doing the PS launcher.

If the PSN PC mandate gets them closer to xbox's play anywhere initiative which includes cross buy and cross saves, I'm all for it.

PC ports don't perform well already on PC.

Only the multiplayer only GAAS title has done well on PC.

The negatively this is garnering could result in less sales and less sales=less reasons to continue with the platform.
