Picked one up this morning. Works flawlessly on my WiFi and on my EE 5G connection. Genuinely very surprised by it and means I can play my small PS5 connection remotely...was initially very against it but being a nerd picked it up. Glad I did.
If it had a browser you could just sign up for GamePass ultimate and call it a day.
The other problem with this device not having a browser is if you go to a hotel that has a landing page for connecting to their wifi (enter room number/last name/password), you won't be able to use this device. Unless of course you hotspot your phone. Sony didn't think this through.
Though wasn't it always advertised as a user at home device? Which itself is pointless.
From Best Buy …I think a lot of people got one thinking it was something more or (my thoughts of what people thought) would have more to offer like other streaming apps like Netflix or Spotify, or game pass ultimate
So the PS Portal essentially turns the PS5 into a Wii U with less features, cos it only streaming’s games…. Hopefully it’ll get patches/haces to let ya do more.
