Playstation TV (Dec. 1st)

that wasn't my intention. it was kind of a no brainer, I guess, and assumed everyone knew.

I watched the E3 presser but didn't catch that part of their PS TV presentation.

But like you said, its basically a Vita sans screen. So I should have known it would be able to stream PS4 games. But tbh, I didn't even know that the Vita could stream from a different location from where the PS4 is. I thought it was more like Wii U game pad streaming.

Yeah, I've been paying fairly close attention to Vita/PS TV, and I never heard (until now) that you could play games with it at someone else's house, many miles away. I always heard the remote play discussed in terms of streaming to another room in the same house. So it's news to me.

oh wow.....

yeah, Vita does it through 3G and wifi. so you can walk or drive with the device while remaining connected to the PS4.

PlayStation TV doesn't need the 3G feature as it needs to be stationed near a display, but it supports everything else that requires the system to be stationed at a particular area. VR is going to be crazy with this device is all I gotta say. that's another subject, though. ;)

I'm not entire sure if Playstation TV will be my thing or not. Felt like PS3 is more than enough for me and nothing else at the moment. We'll see about that.

Too many games don't work on it for me to be interested.

once upon a time the PS3 fell in this very same category. fast forward a few updates later and you could almost swear that it's specs were their since launch. Sony is not a software mammoth, so expect their updates to trickle in at a slower pace. just like the tortoise vs the hare, it may not get near the finish line when you want it to, but it does eventually get there. ;)
