Would you be in favor of a separate Nintendo subforum (similar to the ones for X1 and PS4)?

I'd be all for it. I don't own a WiiU, but I still like Nintendo products/games and will probably eventually own one. There does seem to be a slight increase in Nintendo threads lately anyway.

I personally don't think a Nintendo subforum would be bad. It would keep all Nintendo news in one place to go and see.

if the demand validates it, sure. otherwise, the multiplat section is ample

I'd like to see it, personally. I think it makes sense in terms of forum organization. We have a subforum for 2 of the 3 consoles but not the 3rd, with the only reason being that the 3rd is less popular, which is not much of a reason, imo. I also would like to give our Nintendo fans a dedicated place to hang out.

I'd say no because it probably will not sustain discussions. I can see it garnering some initial attention but as time go on, I'd wager that a lot of the discussions and posts will go weeks and months without a response. I'd like to see a strong demand for it first before we split it off of multiplat/PC.

I'd partake in a Nintendo sub forum. There seems to be a growing number of members with the Wii U.

Finally, I come home from work with some good news waiting for me :).

I most certainly would post there, read there, court there, be courted there, go to the debutant ball there, be the Southern bell in distress there, have mothers day there and a myraid of other options some far to sensitive for any ears but other Nintendoids. After all only they are used to such carnage as having Stalin jump on Mushrooms, raising Red Flags everywhere and usurping a ruler while being very cruel to endangered Galapagos Tortoises.

Why not try it and see? If it doesn't work, we can always go back to status quo. You're assuming it will fail based on your own prediction. Wouldn't it be better to try it out, and see what actually happens?

By all means try. I'd be more than happy to eat crow if it works out.

I say yes, Nintendo is not just about the Wii U and it just makes sense to have it's own area. By the way, what difference does it make if it's not a very popular forum area? Is there some kind of quota to keep a forum section alive?

I may be wrong, too, who knows, but I don't see any downside to trying. I mean, is anyone going to be inconvenienced by a Nintendo subforum somehow? Is it going to hurt anyone? And if it doesn't work out, we can just reverse the process and fold it back into the MP forum. No one will be the worse off for us trying, and this way, we are at least trying to serve a subset of our members a little better.
