So, seeing a lot more footage and information on the Fall's most anticipated games, what are going to be the ones you will be purchasing? I actually don't have an answer myself yet, as I'm still debating and trying to come up with a rough list.

The only sure purchase for me so far is Just Cause 3. After seeing the gameplay vids I was all like...

Rise of The Tomb Raider is the only guaranteed game for me so far. I might pick up the Uncharted collection if I can sell my PS3 versions for a decent price.

Definitely: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (Day f***ing one)

Maybe: Battleborn (if it gets over an 85 on Metacritic), Persona 5 (if it gets over a 90 on Metacritic), No Man's Sky (if it gets over an 83 on Metacritic)

Definite:
Forza 6
Halo 5

Probable:
NHL 16 (don't think it was even at e3)
Gears
Battlefront

It's hard to say. I have no clue when most games are releasing, but I do know these for sure.

Day one
  • Forza 6
  • Fallout 4
  • FIFA 16
  • Tomb Raider
  • Rainbow Six siege
Potential purchases
  • PES 2016
  • Mad Max
  • Gears Ultimate Edition

No shortage of games for me. I just bought Forza Horizons 2, have just barely started cracking the surface of Sunset Overdrive and pre-ordered Batman Arkham Knight

Day One

Halo 5
Crackdown

Potential Purchases
Mirror's Edge
Scalebound
Quantum Break
Forza 6
Recore
Cuphead
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Star Wars Battlefront

Current Games I still need to get
Ori and the Blind Forrest
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor
Wolfenstein
Ryse

The one absolute guaranteed purchase this year is Fallout 4. The one absolute guaranteed purchase next year is Quantum Break. Other than that, it'll depend on how much time I can actually dedicate to playing the games.

Not enough time for games this year for me. I'm still getting through Witcher 3. I'll probably just stick with Fallout 4 and Halo 5 this year. There are others I want to play, but have older titles to tackle too.

Too much real life work is keeping me away from my play time. :(

Day one:
Forza 6
Fallout 4
Rare Replay

Maybe:
Rainbow Six: Seige
Star Wars: Battlefront

I just bought 6 games, one year of live, two movies, one month of EA Access, one month of Sling TV and an external hard drive. Witcher 3, S.O., and GTA V being three of them (all massive open world games) and I havent been able to get into any of it properly. Then there's Forza 6, Halo 5, T.R. and Gears Remaster I've put on the list of games to get later this year. I feel like every game I get pushes me further behind to the beginning of this gen and Im trailing everyone else. lol. My next gen wont officially start till 2018....

Day One
Fallout 4
Battlefront
Rainbow Six
EA Golf game if it looks good.
Cuphead

Possible
Metal Gear
Batman
Gears if PC version releases this year.

Something is wrong with me. I'm convinced.

I'm scrolling through this thread and I'm seeing people planning to purchase Tomb Raider: Rise of the Tomb Raider, and leaving Metal Gear Solid V off their lists.

I honestly don't understand a universe where people would rather play a game with horrible gameplay, a throw away story, and s*** multiplayer (does this TR even have multiplayer?) over Hideo Kojimas last Metal Gear Solid game...ever. I honestly think I have some Hitler in me because I think you people are scumbags.

It's not all games either. I understand if you want to play Forza 6, Halo 5, or Fallout 4 because those experiences are so different but God damnit, Tomb f***ing Raider?! You should all wear badges on your left arm so I can spot you in public.

The thing is, the last Tomb Raider was hella fun with great graphics and gameplay, maybe a little heavy on combat but we've noticed that the trailers released so far are heavier on the exploration - hopefully a sign of things to come in the new game.

"?!?!" I'm taking my right as a citizen of all freedom loving citizens within this forum to place you on citizen thread ban. Please remove yourself from this thread and meditate on logical, rational thoughts until your ban has been relinquished.

Any and all push-back on this citizens thread ban will result in indefinite thread ban and possible Earth ban. (which Im hoping like hell you do...)

Let's meet in a Wal-Mart parking lot (of your choosing) and we agree to fight to the death. Two men enter. One man leaves.

All of major MS exclusives of course (including Rare Replay), and then there's Batman, Battlefront, Need for Speed, Fallout 4, and Just Cause 3.

The latest trailers make the game seem like the game was designed by an insane person. Gameplay looks interesting, but all the stupid crap going on with the story and characters is a massive turn off. I don't give a crap about all the insanity going on with the story and don't care to sit through some of the longest boring cutscenes in the previous games just to catch upon what's going on. I've played every game in the series and lost interest within 5 hours due to the ridiculous storyline. I want to play a game for fun. If I wanted to watch an idiotic storyline unfold, I'd watch the soap channel.

Because Metal Gear isn't a game but a few minutes of gameplay separated by boring minutes on end cinemas masquerading as a game. Metal Gear is the most overrated series in the history of gaming.

Wal-Mart parking lot. Let's go.

Yes, the new trailer does look like it was created by an insane person, an insane person who happens to be a genius. Tomb Raider looks like a bunch of hacks got together at Crystal Dynamics and said "Let's combine everything we know about Uncharted (which I hate) with what these 12 year old kids tell us to include in our focus group."

Metal Gear has a vision. There's a brilliant artistry to those games.

I just can't believe people would rather watch Transformers: Age of Extinction over Christopher Nolan's Inception. Does it have to do with IQ or something? Gaahhh!

At worst, they're 75% gameplay with 25% cinematics, and I don't even think it's that much. And by all accounts, Kojima is scaling back the cinematics in The Phantom Pain.

Watch. Watch that and know instantly that Tomb Raider brings shame on the industry. It brings shame upon us. All hail Kojiiimmaaaaaa!

(If you only have 2 and a half minutes, watch starting at 2:36/5:40)

Must-Haves
Fallout 4 (if I can pick one game only, this is it)
Metal Gear Solid 5 (kinda surprise this is not on people's lists)
Tomorrow Children
Tales of Zestiria (newest Tales game, so yes)
King's Quest (excited to play this reboot of a classic adventure game)
Until Dawn

May-Bes
Star Wars Battlefront (not a Star Wars fan, but I really like those trailers and gameplay videos)
Tearaway Unfolded (have not played the original Vita version, so I'm interested)
Cuphead (boss battles only and high level of difficulty/frustration pulling me back though)

Agreed. I could deal with the other MGS trailers and cinematics, they were a bit off in left field, but not only does this seem insane, not in a good clockwork orange type of insane, but the writing is too cliché. The gameplay seems fun though.

To me, it sounds like a drugged Japanese creative person that has an obsession with American culture in the 1960s-1980s, but in convoluted, diluted version of it. I understand the beauty that insanity can inspire at times, and this isn't it. Just seems like a mess.
