Trackmania "press forward" user-created maps. Definitely worth a full watch.

Andy, there are a lot of games that look like a ton of fun if you are part of the 1% in the world that can play/drive like the person making those videos. No way either of us would ever get past the 1st checkpoint on most of those tracks shown and all we would have to show for our efforts would be raging high blood pressure.

I only watched a bit, but I thought I heard him say that the tracks were designed so that all you had to do was press forward -- no actual steering was required. You'd just careen off platforms and magically land exactly where the track was built. Maybe I misunderstood...

I just checked -- yeah, he says it at 1:00. You just press forward. In fact, Kassen's post is titled "Press Forward Maps." The guy actually fails the first time, but watch his next run, starting around 1:16 or so. If I understand correctly, all he's doing is pressing forward. The map has been designed to catch him.

Yeah, press forward [PF] maps require you to simply "press forward" and let Jesus take the wheel. Think of the flash game "Line Rider," and that is basically what they are doing. The maps are created to manipulate you to look like a boss trickster elite racer when really all you are doing is "pressing forwards." Just make sure that the gas pedal is floored, have your hands off the steering wheel, and let the map do its magic.

Here's another one. It's time-stamped to show off some of the better moments you will experience with these maps.

Oh wow, I see now that you are correct. I wasn't listening to the dude while watching. I think I can handle pressing forward and that certainly explains how they got through those insane tracks. So it's more of a spectator enjoyment than actual gameplay. :really:

The latest monstrosity of a level created by Landfall Games Studio for their Clustertruck game. No placeholders for the sound yet. They literally created these missiles last week and are currently stress testing and whatnot.

My kind of racing game -- makes me feel like I'm incredibly skilled and requires zero actual skills.

Two things.

1) It's not that I want that guy to get throat cancer and have to have his voice box removed, but....

And 2) holy s***! I can't believe fans made those maps! They're more amazing than the entire series of burnout!

Didn't know where to put this and since there is not an E3 thread yet I thought this was the most ideal thread. It seems we might have some insight into what Sony is going to show at this years E3. The much rumoured titles from Sony Bend and Sony Santa Monica has been confirmed by insider Shinobi602.

Sony Bend are doing the much rumoured open world horror game titled Dead Don't Ride:

DEAD scavenge, we survive DON'T fear them, on metal & bikes we drive RIDE, don't run, the apocalypse is good fun #DeadDontRide #SonyBend

Sony Santa Monica is working on God of War 4 set in the norse mythology:

shinobi602 ‏@shinobi602 Apr 4
...to the halls of Valhalla. My boy. #GodofWar4

What is also interesting is that a person on reddit knew of the SCE Bend title last year stating the title as Dead Don't Die. He also gave some insight into what Sony has planned and these are the titles only from Sony first party to apparently be announced:

  • Dead Don't Ride

  • The Last of Us Sequel

  • Crash Bandicoot

  • Naughty Dog "Space Game"

  • God of War: IV (?)

  • He also mentioned about FF7 and TLG

This information is derived from this:

The user deleted information in seemingly fear of probably providing information he should have not but people still remembered what he had to say and people even saved it.

Now God Of War 4 and Dead Don't Ride are a given, Crash Bandicoot has been very much hinted at and would not be unexpected but TLOU 2 and a Space game from Naughty Dog seem absurd to me given that they have been working on UC4.

Alas we shall find out when E3 rolls around. But I thought this information was interesting none of the less.

Wasn't there some comic or poster or something in The Last of Us that involved space adventurers? It was kind of campy from what I recall.

They have worked on 2 games before so I guess its plausible that TLOU2 is well into development and a new game could be getting ready to start. It would be hard to believe they would have 2 games ready to announce though.

What about that PS4 Neo though guys. Sony is about to shoot for the sun and they just might hit it.

Looks more like they're shooting for just marginally better than the PS4. Which is fine with me. I don't need for a souped-up PS4 to come on the market. Then I'd have to buy it. If it's just marginally better, eh, *shrug*

New Flash Sale:

A lot of sales sow going to take long time to post them all.

Thanks for the heads up. Couldn't pass on buying The Order: 1886 for $7.99.

Tempted on Beyond Two Souls for $11.99 but I want to play Heavy Rain first and that isn't on sale.:really:

Yeah, i don't know. Sounds like it's going to be a good upgrade but i don't care either way. As long as games run well on vanilla PS4 then whatever. If they run like PS3 versions lately then we've got a problem.

Reminder that the Nioh demo is out today, if anyone's interested.

Purchased Killzone Shadowfall for $5. I've been waiting so long for this $5 dollar price point to hit. The wait paid off splendidly.

Wow, it's $5? Damn, I might have to pick it up, at that price.

You post all of these as individual threads? Damn, man, that's a lot of work.

Yeah post all of them as individual threads. Yeah, a lot of work.

This provides a few chuckles. Top 10 Worst PS1 Games. Makes me appreciate that we've come a long way.

Barbie: Explorer?

I loved Barbie Explorer! That and the Harry Potter game were probably some of my first video games outside of the JumpStart games and Pajama Sam! And it definitely wasn't bug-ridden by a long shot.
