So, PS plus question. I'm getting the pro next week, and was thinking of moving my old PS4 to my main TV. I have one PS plus account, but am I going to need a 2nd to allow someone to stream netflix while I am playing games? If I have to buy another PS plus account I may as well just get a cheap internet enabled bluray player.

No, you just need to create another user name. I have 1 paid PS+ account for our family with 3 different user names. We have 2 PS4's and the boys can be playing Rocket League co-op on their user names on 1 PS4 while I watch Netflix on the other PS4 under my user name.
 
So can I play an online game like Destiny while the Mrs streams Netflix? (other than the lag it would cause of course).
 
Well, I have given up on my PS4. Finally gonna get rid of this piece of s***, loud ass, door wedge. f***ing GONE like the wind.

And I am going to replace it with a BRAND NEW SHINY MOTHA FUKIN PLAYSTATION PRO.

Cool, thanks very much for the info. With all the TV features on these new consoles, I still barely use them.

It sucks still being stuck to cable TV but there's no other good way to get my local hockey coverage :(
 
So I have a question.....and it's a too late question....but as a PSN+ subscriber, were my game saves being synced to the PSN cloud?

Yep (unless you changed something from default settings). When I moved to a new hard drive on my PS4, game saves transferred over no problem.
You can always back up to a USB just in case but I don't see the point.

Well, I didn't think about that, and I reformatted my PS4 to do the trade in for the PS Pro this Thursday :(. I totally forgot about game saves. I know I never "disabled" anything, so it sounds like I might be good to go?
 
Was good to see Everybody's Gone to the Rapture as a free game this month for PS Plus. I was about to buy it months ago. Glad i didn't have to blow the $20.

I think that setting is on by default, but I'm not 100% sure. As long as it is you should be fine. IIRC you just go in and download your cloud saves back down. All I remember is that when I put a new drive in it was simple.

Backing up save files to a USB drive is actually very difficult. You have to copy each and very game over manually one at a time. It's ridiculous and very time-consuming.

Uncharted 4 graphics are kind of average. Great in some places like the guys' faces. But then you also have a lot of cutbacks when it comes to real-time gameplay graphics. A lot of the backdrops are just appalling. And the vines are just a single flat mesh instantly noticeable when they sway from the wind. And then the next scene is full-on gorgeous everything. Like the game was half-designed with the original 60fps target in mind. It's a bit of a turn off. Also the TXAA and motion blur present a lot of artifacts.

Developer trolls live stream by invading game via the "Twitch cheats codes" they programmed into the game lol


Twitch voting can also spice up your game. Twitch users voted for "laser trucks." lol

I Started Everyone's Gone to the Rapture last night. I'm liking it, but they really missed an opportunity by not letting you interact with the world. It would feel a lot more believable. Might make the visuals less impressive though- can't have that. Should have some Oblivion level physics, IMO. Would have made it more compelling.

I am playing that right now too. So far just listening to the radio's and to the people (well the spirals).
 
That game has a serious awesome Boards of Canada vibe going on.

(if you don't know Who they are, bow your head in shame and listen to Music has The right to children, Geogaddi, and tomorrow's harvest.)

Lol just read that the devs where inspired by BOC, that explains The vibe :D

Also fair warning should you check them out... their music have a certain.... "darkness" to it, it's not a in your face type of darkness, but a subtle one... which make it even more creepy, i have seen a few people getting seriously uncomfortable when listening to their stuff.

I've been writing the numbers (and beeps) down in case I need em for something. Some of the scenes are pretty powerful, but maaan, the walking speed is so slow! I can't imagine I'd be just strolling around in that situation.

I'm guessing it all went down at 6:07...

So, I'm giving my old PS4 to someone. Do I just initialize it to get all my stuff off of it? I just want to erase everything, but leave all the system patches on if possible.

Still looking for a decent sale on UC4. Have I missed some or has this game never been less than $40 US?
 
wal mart had a bunch of UC4 PS4 slims for 250 if I did not already have my fat UC trilogy bundle I would have jumped at that. but I like my fat PS4 too much to get that weird slim model, plus I still use my optical out for my Turtle Beach headset.
