Just finished Beyond Two Souls. The story is epic. Great blur between traditional QTE and character control to tell a very intense, action-driven story. Character control can be a bit boring and trite in the more casual parts of the game, like when making dinner or cleaning house. But wherever there is action, it is a enjoy to control. Easy-to-understand story about the life and hardships of a very unique psychic girl with enough depth to keep you curious for more. And plenty of choices to make in this game, and plenty ways to express yourself in your decisions. And the graphics are literally next gen. They need a sequel for this game. It really deserves one last hoorah!

In the re-issue, they are including an option to play the game in chronological order. However, I think you have to play the game first, before that option unlocks, which means you'd have to play it through again, in order to unlock that option -- if it even interested you.

Beyond was a letdown for me, personally. Maybe I expected too much of it.

Actually you can play the game chronologically (remixed order) right off the bat. It's what I did. And it is even one of the very first things the game will ask you upon your first time starting your game copy.

The remasters are available already? Not that I have time to play them but good to know, especially if it's a limited time offer for the buy one get a discount on the other.

Oh, that's cool. Thanks for the clarification. I heard otherwise.

Nice impressions. I never got around to playing Beyond: Two Souls. It was one of those end of the gen games for the PS3 and at that point i think i just had my mind set on moving on to next gen. I'll have to give it a shot soon. Is the Heavy Rain/Beyond: Two Souls collection out on disc or did you buy it digitally? I'm not seeing it on Amazon.

It's weird, but only Beyond Two Souls is released so far. Heavy Rain isn't coming until next year. But yeah, I got the digital version for $30 on PSN.

Played Rogue Galaxy via emulation on the PS4. Leagues upon leagues better than the PS2 version. I'm so glad this was one of the first games to be emulated and available digitally on PSN. You would not have wanted to mess with the PS2 version. The original dual-layered DVD the game shipped on for the PS2 had monsterous issues of a monsterous level. The discs were all defective beyond hope. Best case scenario, you couldn't even get away with tie your shoe laces in this game without an hour-long loading screen popping up. It literally takes 5 hours to play through the first 10 minutes of the game if you are lucky, and after that first 10 minutes of the game, the load screens become 10 hours to indefinitely long, rendering it impossible to progress 15 minutes into the game. I finally get to play this game, and it has been great so far.

I am in awe at the decision to have these consoles with a 500gb hard drive. What a fvck job.

Yeah, at the start of this gen i didn't think space was going to be an issue. But as time goes on i find myself deleting a lot of games that i may return to at some point. Not a big deal, but you'd think they would have given us more memory knowing how much space games would eat up.

@KazHiraiCEO: You asked for Triple-A PS4 titles on PS+ and we’ve delivered. Hardware Rivals and Grim Fandango Remastered both have three As in their title

I've been having problems lately installing anything these days. It makes me regret getting the digital copy. Sony hides their customer support number so I had to google it, but the machine told me customer support number only answers 8am-to-8pm Eastern on weekdays and hung up on me. Sony also hides their live chat now, and you have to use google to find that too. And I was given a "ticket" in a waiting line instead. I really don't like the current PSN.

So I fired up my Xbox One for the first time in about a year. The UI? Laaaaaaggggy. I'm really unimpressed with. XBOX this gen. With the exception of the controller, which I prefer, PS4 just kicks its ass in everything IMO. I'm at the point now where I'd actually just sell my Xbox One but my older daughter plays it cause her friends are on that console.
Anyway IMO Mucrosoft really blew it this gen. For me personally the PS4 is just so much better.

Really looking forward to Detroit, by Quantic Dreams. I'm really glad he is collaborating on the story with others this time. Some problems I had with Beyond Two Souls story was how there was never a definitive objective of the game. Just short stories told like a documentary of the girl's life, which helped in making the first half of the game boring. The climaxes of the story were with the military missions but comes crashing down right after the action is done, and then it shoots right back up again and repeat. The story feels pushed away from how the story should naturally flow. And despite her being so powerful and knowledgeable, they let her get manipulated so easily by literally everyone. And the love story was also pretty forced in there. Besides all of that, the next game needs less creepy showering and peeing scenes.

I'm looking forward to Detroit, too. I didn't think much of Beyond's story. I agree that it's a good thing he will have collaborators. The story in Beyond was far too "Hollywood" for my tastes. It was like a cheesy movie. There were a few scenes that really just made me roll my eyes at how bad they were -- poorly written, didn't make sense, felt very artificial or scripted.

I think Cage tries way too hard to mimic Hollywood. He's been going hard in that direction for a long time. It was interesting back in the days of Indigo Prophecy, but with Beyond, it went too far, showed the limitations of that kind of approach to games. It's a common criticism, but it hardly felt like a game at all -- more like a cheesy movie I would never have rented, much less paid $60 to see (not that I did; I paid about $25, I think).

thought my ps4 needed a run so I got my 2nd ps4 game drive club. Picked it up for AU$9. Hope it's good. Just have to wait til I get my ps4 back as I'm sure they'll be a crap load of updates. Only have 50gig/month on 4g.

Not a versus thread, fellas. Let's keep it to PS4 only.

Pretty good video showing the depth and variety of exclusives coming to Playstation.Ridiculous amount of games but I doubt all of them are coming out in 2016:

Yeah, his game's story felt very fake at times. I hate it too because the story had the potential. And as far as his gameplay style, I don't necessarily think it is a bad approach entirely. It did do some nice things I think. I really just wholeheartedly believe he needs to implement less QTE button presses for pouring a glass of milk and make it feel like more meaningfully interactive game-story experience like Life is Strange or Uncharted. You need enough gameplay to make your participation in the story feel genuine. Quantic Dream's approach felt way too similar watching Dora the Explorer and having to "say map! say map!" throughout the whole thing.

Only had time to watch half of that, but I still saw 9 games that I have strong interest in, plus several I had no idea were coming (e.g., Paragon, Eve Valkyrie). And that's just the exclusives. Don't know where I'll find the time to play all these games. Well, I won't. I'll have to make some tough choices.

Sony is still hiding quite a few games from us gamers, making it near impossible to discover indie games unless you search for the name directly. Even the popular game Goat Simulator published on October 11, 2015, does not exist on PSN unless you an actual search of the actual name in the search bar. This isn't good for indie games at all, and for this all these missing games to still not be fixed.
