I never played Demon's Souls nor Returnal.

GT7 - 7/10
R&C Rift Apart - 6/10
Horizon FW - 6/10
Spider-Man MM - 8/10
Hoping to pick up God of War Ragnarok from the Black Friday sale tomorrow and then I've played all major PS5 exclusives.

GT7's issue is not only was it just DLC. The Campaign mode that they did add is freakin boring.

PS5 thus far has been a massive downgrade from PS4.

I'm hoping to get Returnal on Steam, but doubt it'll ever go on a real sale.

Didn't bother getting God of War R. Over a year old and less than 40% off. Lol. Didn't bother getting anything on PS5 from the BF sale. Very poor showing.

I've started God of War R. Don't know when I'll finish it. Still working on Horizon Forbidden west. I stopped doing all the side quests and focus on the main ones. For all the hate Ubisoft gets for it's bloat in the modern AC games, I'm surprised that Horizon isn't met with the same criticism.

Correct. I will never complete Starfield. Redfall however I will finish.

Very interesting as you seem harsh on PS and criticize them a lot more than the Xbox but then you complete more games on the PS. So in the end, you still enjoy them enough to beat the game moreso than the other too.

Since current gen started, did you complete/beat more Playstation or Xbox games ?

Not to speak for @Kvally, but I think one can be critical of something and still find enjoyment in said something.

True. But still interesting as ultimately you still need to enjoy the games enough to complete them at the end of the day. Kvally is a hardcore team Green player and defends them a lot more but completes more games on the PlayStation.

Actually, I'm sort of envious of those that can step away from games unfinished. I have a tendency to muster on even when a game might not be up to my liking because I hate unfinished games. I've gotten better at it; probably cause I'm older. Believe it or not, I disliked Cyberpunk. Mostly because of the story and basically mainlined the quests to finish it.

I'm the same but I've started to stop caring as much these days. Just don't have enough time to game as much anymore.

I also don't really like cyberpunk (haven't tried 2.0 yet) but I started the game 2 times , first was near launch, second was next gen update and still couldn't garner my attention enough to keep playing. Same with Witcher 3 for some reason.

I am not sure which I have completed more this gen, PS or Xbox. The only thing I can think of is that I buy many more games for my Xbox, thus my completion percentage is smaller. I feel like with PS, I get the game out of the way. So Spider-Man 2 comes out, and I rip through it. Then I will work on games on my Xbox like the new Forza, AC Mirage, Alan Wake 2 and juggle those instead of going through them one at a time.

I usually finish the games I like the most and keeps my attention. The ones that don't capture me as much I put off to later or in the backlog.

Not so much hardcore team green player, but more like the underdog player. If the roles were reversed, I would be pushing PS.

You need to remember, I was playing PS long before I was playing Xbox.

The consoles I have owned in order:
  1. Pong
  2. Atari 5200
  3. Sega Genesis
  4. PlayStation 1
  5. PlayStation 2
  6. Xbox OG
  7. Xbox 360/PS3
  8. Xbox One/PS4
  9. Xbox Series X/PS5
I ended up enjoying Xbox at the start for three reasons. New kid on the block. Xbox Live when the Xbox OG debuted and because I was a Microsoft Publisher MVP for Microsoft. This gave me employee benefits at the Microsoft Store, which let me buy all the new games for $25 at the time. I quickly built up a library of games and made a lot of online friends on Xbox Live. Then I just went forward.

I believe both consoles have great games and I enjoy their games equally. But it's fun to root for the underdog :)

Invalid answer. Dried needs one that supports his console war mentality.

On a more personal note: How the F did you not own a NES and SNES or Master System.

Not sure why I never bought one. Growing up, my sister got a SNES and I played with hers on a rare occasion. And then when the Wii came out, I got that for my son for Christmas. I played with him on occasion on the Wii, but that was all him and his friends.

Heck, I bought my son a Switch for Christmas and he doesn't use it anymore and it's at my home (he didn't take it with him to his apartment), and I still haven't used it. 🤷‍♂️

post SNES indifference to Nintendo I can understand, but the NES and SNES were simply amazing consoles.

Why play something that isn't good and/or enjoyable. Just a waste of time.

I hate unfinished games more than the game being poor. If it's horrible, I won't play or quite. It's usually a game bordering on not as fun. Also depends on how far into the game I'm in and money spent.

I was fine with Cyberpunk until near the end. I really hated the final few quests.

Sometimes a game becomes more of a chore than fun and I have to decide when and if to quit.

Other times it might just be the mood I'm in and the type of genre.

I have a category called Unfinished in my Steam Library.

Like I said, I've gotten better at letting some go.

The same for me. I was a Atari, Commodore, Atari Computer, PC, PS1/2/3/4 and all XBox generations. Around Sega and NES is when I was going through college and work stuff. Then I came back to PC. So, I was late to PS.

I have a Switch too, but just sits in charger. I just never grew up with those games, so I don't oooh and aaah at those titles. It's totally lost on me.

...and I'm always rooting for the under dog.

We were meant to be! XOXO

So, I never owned a Commodore 64 or 128. My friends dad (he was a nerd) owned them and we played them at their house. At school, we learned how to use the Commodore 64 in classes, in the library.

I have had a couple PC's for gaming, but it's been like 20 years or more.
