[Question] Thinking about getting sport game for the first time in years.

I'm not going to lie to you: I strongly dislike EA as a company (long history). However, I am in the process of getting PS4 very soon (possible as soon as tomorrow!) and I wanted to try something different that I have not played for many years: Sports. The last sport game I bought was WAY back in Dreamcast's time (NFL2K)!

I told myself that I might buy only ONE sport game and am very interested in playing online for the first time. Question: Does EA still shut down online server every ~6 months or so on all sports game? I remembered hearing about that several years ago and I didn't like the sound of that. I don't know if they're still doing it or not. If you're wondering which sport I'm getting, it's between NBA or NFL (I'm leaning more toward NFL).

Pretty sure they shut down servers after 1 year and 6 months...never been just 6 months after release. Some even go further than the 1.5 years, it's just the low play games that go that quickly.

This year is the 1st time I didn't get the new Madden, I've heard it is good. I am just burnt out on most of them now.

Ah I see. I might go with NFL and stick with it as long as it holds my attention. I didn't want to buy sports yearly (as I did with Call of Duty series and got easily burnt out). Thanks for reply.
