Like the title suggests. I was quoting a poster and bolded a few parts of his post. When I replied, it made no difference.
Quotes are bolded by default

Hmm. You're right. I bolded "bolded a few parts of his post," above, but as you see, it doesn't look any bolder. It looks bolded before you post, but not after. Underline and color works. You're right, I think the base font is bolded already, so bold doesn't stand out.
So yeah, maybe we need to figure out other ways to highlight people's words, like use of color.

Hm, that's interesting. It might vary by theme. I'm using the mid-tone, and I don't see any difference. I do in your quoted example, though. I edited my example to separate the bold, underline, and color sections, so it was a little clearer.
