Sadly I don’t think too many people outside of Canada know their music, but they have some great stuff.
Far too young, but the ‘bright side’ of these types of passings is that he had plenty of time to say goodbye, and even had that last concert in his hometown. That’s pretty awesome, even though the whole thing sucks.
If anyone reading this is interested, I’d highly recommend another awesome yet relatively unknown Canadian band called Big Wreck. Their frontman Ian Thornley is one of the best guitarists I’ve ever seen/heard, and has a voice similar to Chris Cornell.
