So I am about 12 hours into this game. Took over River Row for Vito and now taking back Point Verdun for Burke. Still not finding it too repetitive but I must say River Row did feel tedious sometimes as the locations are factory based and there is only so much variety you can have. Point Verdun is much better in that regard you have distilleries, meat houses, cop bars etc to damage and infiltrate. I am still so impressed with the map. I find new places all the time and though I have driven through all the districts every time you take over each locale you gain a great insight and appreciation of the map.The diversity in an urban location is such a delight.

Nice.

What did you think of the game, Wolf King? Been a while now and I assume you have completed the story and done plenty in the world.

I am thinking of picking it up on PC after the holidays.

I haven't as it goes. It's a lazy game world sadly just like the last game.
I will go and finish the main story which is good but it's taken a backseat to other games.
But not having anything to do outside of the story is a big let down

I have to say I like this game and it frustrates me at the same time, I love the subject matter, the characters and the story/acting are all well done. If they had just done a better job with mission variety and a few other things the game would likely have gotten much better reviews. Funny thing is a game like MGSV has almost all rinse and repeat missions but because it's MGS it gets 9's while Mafia 3 gets 6's.

It's problem is lack of variety in the missions but the story and characters are strong.

I mean give me some boat chases or something!

Yeah I'm near the end of it I think it does repeat a lot of gameplay, even by open world standards. Someone on here said it was lazy development and I'd have to 100% agree with that. Still enjoying it loads but I feel they did miss a trick with this especially with the characters being so good.

I got about 10 hours in and put it down for now it just started feeling like a chore but will go back to it when I have a chance but fear I will forget the story haha something about revenge.

Just had this happen to me tonight, restarted the game and that mission was gone but saw some graphical glitches happening that I never saw before. They were little square flashes happening here and there.

First up is the 32X.

Part 1

These videos would be better if we didn't have to see the DF team.... ever

Such a strange machine, made little sense but was cool in a 90s radical way.

I had bought this for Virtua Fighter. That alone made it a worth while purchase. The Star Wars game ended up be alot of fun as well as the Knuckles game.

I remember Toys R Us had them on clearance for $25, but I still didn't buy one. I think the Saturn was already out and I was dedicated to spending every cent I had getting games for it instead.

I will not agree about Virtua Fighter! It was awesome on the Saturn. Sure it was a tad glitchy from a rendering standpoint, but the music was waay better, there was more detail (though I remember hating that they had the "mitt" hands). I had a ton of fun with VF on Saturn. The 32x version always looked crappy to me.

I sort of want a Sega CD/32x for my genesis now. It's just a hilariously silly looking conversation piece.

Okay, I can't wait any more and give up. Hey, TDbank24, is the joke going to be why isn't this about the XB1 or the PS3?

I only played VF for the 32X through emulation, but it was inferior to the Saturn version in every way. I didn't play it a fraction as much as I played VF2.

I'm not sure why he starts to divert course and talk about his personal opinion of some of these games in such detail (Chaotix in particular). Just analyze the tech side like you're told chompers.

I was going to rip on my favorite failed console, the Panasonic 3DO but since i have to give the people what they want.

What argument could you possibly make for the PS3 being a failure? It's a top 10 best selling console of all time, and passed the 360 in worldwide sales at the tail end of last generation. The deck was stacked against Sony and they overcame the odds, like a great King always does.

The Xbox One wasn't a failure either. Well it was until i plugged my cable box into it and now get everyday use out of it. Gears 4 and The Price is Right, a winning combination.

I re-bought a Sega CD and 32X a while back, plus all the games I had back in the day, plus a few more. Rose colored glasses is all I gotta say. AH-64 Thunderstrike, Eternal Champions, Mortal Kombat 2, Virtua Racing, Star Wars...

i look at it and say 32x was a late gen upgrade. Similar to mid gen upgrade now. It was a way for the mega drive to play 3d games. Problem is it was too expensive and ps1 launched.

looking back if ps1 launched 12months later than the sega saturn wouldnt have been rushed out and we would have been playing arcade perfect ports.
