Strongly disagree with him. I think all 3 platform holders had done really well this gen when it comes to the games and their hardware. And judging by the revenue number from all 3, I'd think they are pretty pleased as well.

Agreed.

Xbox with the comeback story, Playstation continuing its success from the PS4 generation, Switch just on a pedestal of its own due to different timeline.

I'm sure it won't be a mess like the last time they did it. Or the MGS collection..

Well FW is only launching on PC, it's been out on PS5 for years. Dragons Dogma 2 is day one for me, doubt I'll touch rise of the ronin unless it somehow turns out to be great, it doesn't look very good visually though. It looks at least a generation behind in some ways visually.

He's trying to get views for his youtube show, he's mostly into AA and indie stuff more than anything anyway. He loves the idea of sub services taking over which also means investment in first party games would go down per title because they don't get the money back that way. I remember his last twisted metal game was being shown at E3 years ago on one of the internet shows it was being shown right after a trailer for I think it was either Battlefield or Killzone and he was like "How am I supposed to compete with that" lol.
