Random Gaming News V3

I could see Xbox wanting to put more of said funding to back their own development, as a now to be major point for what GP is, I guess epic never really seemed interested in continuing it, seeing as they’re losing money in their game store (I could be wrong in the details), but they also don’t have to worry much cos Fortnite, it’s the metaverse meets ready player one, just not in vr, yet.

Many were concerned about how MS was going to sustain their ways especially after the last two huge acquisitions, looks like they are still figuring it out but first step seems to be porting out exclusives to add revenue streams to balance increased costs and stopping the Gamepass bleed 🩸 by being more selective perhaps in funding games.

Wait, what are “their ways” and what are they “bleeding”? They have mentioned that they’ve been selective of what comes to GP, otherwise we’d see tons of indie games, but it’d look bad on all of them if games were it bad states, sure one could release it on game preview, as that’s typical for games like Ark and baldurs gate 3. Players expect better, especially if it’s an additional cost.

Like Sony as a whole is in question, as they’ve stated in their official documentation. They’ve questioned their own spending on Spider-Man 2, which I saw it as an investment for their remaining marvel games, and now they’re questioning their purchase of Bungie and other Mr GAAS that Layden promised.

The one making GAAS by not mentioning their games are a GAAS are Mario kart 8 and smash, those seem to be dead when it comes to additional dlc tho

Continuing to pay billions each year for third party games to come to Gamepass and developing their own XGS first party AA/AAA games while cannibalizing their own sales in the same way.

In the trial leaks and according to DF as well, MS has admitted that putting games on Gamepass has cut into their sales and DF has said they have lost up to 75-80% of potential sales by putting on GP.

With ATVI and Zenimax, they cannot do that in the same sense, Phil tried to with Redfall and Starfield and who knows if those will be ported in the future with all his talk about opening up to other platforms.

Heck, even Sony is porting their old exclusives to PC to add revenue streams and their games sell much better than Xbox generally speaking.

But the great news here is that Game Pass and the Xbox division are not bleeding, they are profitable and in the black. It’s also the third largest revenue generator for MS.

💰💸💵💶💷💴🤑

And nobody should be “concerned” how much profit MS makes off of consumers.

And what increased costs?

Hi-Fi Rush has arrived on PlayStation 5 and it's an excellent port of the original Xbox Series X and PC games... with slightly improved shadows. Tom Morgan reminds us of how great this game is, and examines Xbox's multi-platform record so far. From Ghostwire: Tokyo's Xbox issues to Pentiment receiving 120Hz support on PS5 first, surely Microsoft's flagship console should automatically be the best place to play its games and the first platform to receive new features? Great games get a wider audience now and that's a great thing - but Xbox needs to dot all the Is and cross all the Ts a little more carefully.

It's the same other than the shadows right? I doubt xbox players noticed the shadows but and it doesn't make the game less enjoyable for people who like it. It's nice that they aren't telling their devs to hold things back on PS5.
