When's the last time you used your Xbox? I haven't seen you on lately. Looks like you almost got that 40K gamescore after 14 years.
And don't try and tell me you're too busy to play. Anyone that has time to defend their box and get offended at every last one of someone's posts has time to play games.

So your main gripe is that it lacks exclusives, but even if it had them, you still wouldn't have time for it? That doesn't make much sense.
I guess you're saying you're busy with other consoles, which is fine.

Edit: I see you made the thread here as well. Are you seeking validation from the interwebs, Andy? It's rough, i was at a crossroads also. That's why i kept switching avatars and talking up both but i finally came to the conclusion that Xbox just doesn't do it for me anymore.
Of course i would. I play all consoles and all games. Actually Xbox having a lack of games is a good thing in my case. I can't wrap my head around how many quality games there are to play on PS4 alone. Then you throw in Switch, 3DS, DS, all the classic consoles, etc. It's crazy. I'm glad Xbox is giving gamers like myself mercy by half-assing an entire gen to be honest.

Seeking validation? No, more like just interested in a discussion about the X, mostly. I was really happy with it, and I wanted to express that, but also get other people's opinions, too. FYI, the median rating for the X on GAF was 9.5, with almost all the scores above 9. For the Pro, it was 8.0, with the scores very widely distributed, plenty of them below 7.

Cool. I do a lot of reading there but don't have an account. Hard to keep up with one forum let alone multiples, AND post. Not sure how you do it, lol. Wish i had stayed a lurker from the beginning. I feel like Spider-Man, with great power comes great responsibility.. and i feel like it's my responsibility to inform people that PS4 is the real deal.
Nah, just kidding. You know how your boi TD is. Crazy to the 10th degree. When i'm bored, i can get going. Otherwise i'm playing games and don't really care about what's going on with the interwebs. People are going to think what they want to think and do what they do. Play the games you enjoy on the console or consoles you enjoy.

Not really. Just the realization that i do like PS4 more. And Switch. I know, shocker huh? I don't dislike Xbox, like at all. I just don't see why people defend Phil and act like it's the greatest thing ever when it's really not. Look at anyone's top 10 list for best games ever. You won't find Xbox anywhere near there. Halo: CE barely cracks top 20. The rest are PS/Nintendo exclusives or multiplat.
I don't know about that. I think a lot of people would name Halo.
Also, if you asked people to name their Top 5 favorite consoles, I bet a lot of people would vote for the 360.
I'd probably list my favorite consoles like this:
1. Original Xbox
2. PS4
3. Xbox 360
Well, for a fair comparison you’d need to start no earlier than games released since 2001. If anyone is very high on first person shooters, 3rd person shooters, racing games, or piñatas, I’m certain there would be an MS exclusive in their top 10.
Really though? I'm not sure i can take anyone serious who doesn't list SNES or PS2 as their #1 console of all time. I get it if you've never played either, but if you have then how? SNES or PS2 has a better library of games than OG Xbox/360 combined.
If you really like the Xbox controller, features, online, etc.. i can see why you might have such a great time playing on those consoles to rank them as your top consoles but purely from a games standpoint it's not even close for me.
Uh oh, I failed the "real gamer" test. I didn't play much PS2 (maybe 6 months?), so it's not really a contender for me. Or SNES. I only started gaming in 1999.

I’ve had the same account since Day 1 XBL launch and my gamerscore is **it! Doesn’t mean anything. Went through a sports game phase and a multiplayer only phase. I’m now in a single player phase and my gamerscore is slightly moving again. Last time I actually worked for a specific achievement, it was maxing out Geometry Wars during the 360 launch. I never chase them since. Only time it’s cool is getting a rare achievement for beating a hard game.

To each their own. I was there day one for the OG Xbox. I have it hooked up right now in my other gaming room and still play it from time to time even though i can play the games on the X1. I like playing on the original hardware when reliving the classics. Loved the console, but just can't put it over PS2 or SNES. The 6th gen though, PS2/Xbox/GameCube/Dreamcast was incredible as a whole.

trying to use gamer score for an argument
I don't know what mine is. I'm sure it's very low on the Xbox, since I've only been a user (under this tag) for a few months. On PS4, I've always been in the lower half, whenever I look at my score compared to others on my FL. It doesn't matter to me. Am I supposed to feel better about myself, because I've got more achievement points? What does that prove? I'm not competing with other people for most achievements in gaming. I remember a lot of talk about gamerscore, when it first came out, but I think people quickly got tired of comparing e-peens that way.
While I do like seeing the achievement pop-up, it's not something I care about since I don't really play SP games anymore or games where a gamerscore doesn't increase fast like in Super Mega Baseball.
