It's further along than I thought! Check this out! All real-time!

I have it set to the ray-tracing portion, but I highly recommend watching the whole thing. It's really amazing, tip-top of the line stuff :D

I love GDC!

Dunno how long we will have 2 wait for a affordable consumer gaming device that can actually do it.
They said it will first manifest as partial usage. Like blending with screen space. I'm sure they are using a monster rig, but it was real-time.

I’m really excited for Ray Tracing. When hardware can finally run the real thing in real time, it’ll provide the biggest graphics jump we’ve seen in well over a decade.

Wait, so the consoles will finally be able to do this in real-time?

With the power of the cloud and ray tracing the sky's the limit. The prophecy is foretold.

That's crazy that hey have it running in real time, even if it is on a monster rig. This will be the next big jump for graphics. It's makes such a big difference.

So Here's an update-

That Star Wars demo was running on 5(!) Titans and amounted to 60 TF of compute!!! And was still 1080p @24fps.... Yeah, it'll be a while...

we won't be seeing s*** close to that next gen. most we'll get is some upgrades and games may be 30FPS with a native 4k picture.

If we’re looking at 10 times the GPU power of OneX, maybe the mid gen refresh next gen might be not to far off 60 TF. If we get around 12 TF for the next gen, a nearly 5 times increase in GPU power for the refresh would be capable.
