I'm about an hour and half in, the movie is a major slog. Keep having to take breaks and come back to it, the middle section has been absolutely terrible. Seems like they're using a script that was intended for a fantasy movie and they tried to mesh it into scifi. Vikings, griffins, giant spiders, gladiators, what the serious hell kind of movie is this? I'll hold my full opinions for when I get to the end, but at this point I'd say it's in contention to be Snyder's worst.
I watched it. It’s not great. I do like the imagery and style though. The bad guys are very like Imperial Guard from warhammer 40K. They even use some 40k terminology, like the referring the war bots as the Mechanicam.
Rest though… by the numbers cookie cutter rubbish with all the depth of small rain puddle.
So if the rated R Directors Cut is supposedly so much better, why even release this weak cut?
I won't be surprised if they reveal AI made the entire movie.
Oh, the absolute worst part is the accent used by Charlie Huunum. It’s a f***ing horrible attempt at an Irish accent. Listening to it is like having razor blades in my ears. It’s f***ing atrocious
Considering most English can’t even find Ireland on a map, I I’m no surprised they also don’t know the accent.
Literally makes no sense, but I'll let you have it for sounding like Charlie in Rebel Moon.
