Because that's your choice and an option on console, consoles don't have the option for anything above 60fps, but PCs do, they legit locked it to 60 online because of competitive reasons.

I'm assuming that 90 or 120fps or higher isn't an advantage to 60fps since we're saying that doubling the framerate doesn't have any competitive advantage, correct? Turn 10 says you're wrong.
You can assume what ever you like. I have no 120fps mode to compare.

But I'll take my actual experience over your seriously flawed 3rd hand argument.

Why do these come after stating facts?? One of life's little mysteries, I guess.
I sense some tension here, we seem to disagree and you seem to be the kind of arguer that turns everything into some kind of heated debate.
I think you and I should leave it as is.
If you think your opinion is fact and others isn't, that's fine, you do you my forum friend.

Where is the opinion?

I can literally prove there is no advantage with lap times in the game.

And Redfall isn't a racer or twitch shooter.

Facts!!!!

Just in general in your posts, if someone has a differing opinion god help them, we all have our quirks just how it is.

All I got from that is I didn't agree with you so you'll just change the subject.

If what I said wasn't a fact you should be able to easily show it isn't true via a real world scenario, but you can't.

I have literally been playing one of these games where 60fps supposedly gives a massive advantage and there is no proof of that advantage in a real world scenario. Ironically, all you opposed to this can go try it and see what I'm saying for yourselves, but none of you even attempted it. You just banged on with nothing points or cited undisputed math.

I never said anything about twitch shooters because I don't think I ever played one at 30fps,but consider this. The average gamer has the reaction time of a corpse, an extra 16ms isn't helping them all that much if at all.

Real world, people.

Maybe it has a big effect for the top 1 to 5%, but should the other 95 to 99% really care about that??

And I'll I say it again, this is all kinda pointless as Redfall isn't a Twitch shooter or Racer.

Yet I see you posting nothing that actually disproves what I said, and neither has anybody else. Not a single one of you are able to post a real world example of higher frame rates giving a big advantage in a competitive online race.

Did you know the reaction time for the average person is around 200 to 250ms for visual stimulus. Then factor in that Twitch shooters are more about who sees who first. Then how much difference does 16 ms make? Seriously?? Good audio gives a far bigger advantage than 60fps in shooters as we respond far quicker to it.

The problem this argument has is real world scenarios have far more variables than just a 16ms response difference.

Do you think youtubers win so many games of Warzone because of the 240fps they play at or the fact they play the game 8 hours a day, have better awareness, recoil control, understanding of game mechanics, and how how to rotate, and where to position themselves, etc??

Hmmm that ref ripped enough for you? 😎

No, he has a dad bod.
Actually...I think it's weird that referees generally look like they've never trained in their whole life. The same with many personal trainers here, they look like s***. I find it hard to trust them when looking at their physiques tbh

The big thing I have heard from high level online multiplayer players is that high framerate helps to counteract the impact of low ping.

Also at those speeds , frames count towards when you brake and all that jazz if you really want to talk realism.

Speaking to Digital Foundry’s John Linneman in his podcast, Jez Corden — known industry insider — has claimed that Bethesda is planning a redemption arc for Redfall. For reference, you may want to skip to 42:53 in the following video.

I spoke to some Bethesda people, and well I say I spoke to but I eavesdropped [laughs] their conversation at the not E3 events in LA this year and they were talking about sticking with the game. Yeah, they were talking about sticking with the game for years and, you know, they want to give it a ‘redemption arc‘ and stuff like that.”

At the time of writing, Redfall is still doing badly, at least on Steam it’s this way. The charts on SteamDB tell us that a total of 14 players are in the game right now, and the all-time peak of 6,000-ish players dates back to 6 months ago. Though it’s worth mentioning that not even Cyberpunk 2077 didn’t plummeted this hard when it launched, there’s still hope for Redfall, and it mainly comes in the form of Xbox Game Pass.

They should just let it go and make something good instead. Anthem was a much better game than Redfall at release and they couldn't get that off the ground even after they updated it to a fairly good degree.

They already sold DLC to some so they can't. Committed at this point.

Oh well, must suck for the dev to commit making content for a game that flopped... I guess they'll get paid either way, so that's that.

They will have support to matter what now they are owned by MS but Arkane had some resource shift didn't they recently after shipping Redfall? Hopefully the right management is in place to make sure this gets done the right way which means not rushing deadlines and launch.

So if MS hadn't bought them, they would just leave it at that? Lol

With Halloween here figured I’d give this another shot. Was having fun game seemed better, but then it crashed twice while I was in the middle of quests. Uninstalled.
