Glad XboxNeo was shown the door. One less troll to worry about. Nobody talks to Andy that way!
ha, yeah, he was on his last legs, having been banned 4 times already, so he wasn't far from the perma-boot already. I'm grateful to Plainview for giving that to me as a retirement gift (I didn't ask for it, mind you, but I'll happily accept).
I support Andy's decision in resigning. I'd rather see him around as a poster than a mod who quits the forums. The forums wouldn't be the same without him. You are a great man, Anderson.
Thank you. I think you're overstating things a little, but I appreciate it. Thanks, Passenger. I don't know if I would've left, but I do know I wasn't enjoying myself anymore. I don't want to sound like I'm blaming anyone else or the forum in general. Other mods seem to cruise along and not have any issues. I think I have a driven sort of personality that didn't fit well as a mod. I like to get in there, shape and move things, and I tend to have my own ideas and be headstrong about them ("pig-headed," Jackie called me, lol). Someone who is more "go with the flow" would do better, I think, and not have the sense of frustration I did.
I am proud of a few things: establishing the PS and Nintendo subforums, getting "no personal attacks" into the rulebook, and keeping the PS subforum pretty clean.
You'll be back. You can't resist the call.
It's going to take me a while to make the transition back to normal member after 8 months as a mod, I'll tell you that. I still sort of have "the mind of a mod" when I look at things. I'll look at a thread and my first thought is, "Oh, this is going off the rails, someone needs to step in here," or I look up at my screen and wonder where the Report button went, little things like that.
I should add, in case anyone's wondering, that my resignation has nothing to do with any disagreement or conflict with Plainview or any of the other mods. We all got along very well. Plainview and the rest of the team have my complete respect and support.
