Shame to hear. Especially that he committed suicide. It's no secret that the guy was going through some problems, but I'd never guess it could get to someone like him. Then again, comedians are known for having depression.
It's not just that, but he was losing money in his old age from what I hear. Don't know the specifics, but you look at Nicholas Cage and it could paint an all too familiar picture. You'd never think someone like him would end up going down that road. But i assume as he got older and his career was winding down, he wasn't able to do what he loved and it took a toll on him. You just never know.
I wish there was a sad clown face button for this.Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed, life is harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in threatening world. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. The great clown Pagliacci is in town. Go see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears."But doctor" He says, "I am Pagliacci."
Stolen shamelessly from The Watchmen and pretty fitting.

Dude, divorces are just some of the most financially crippling things I've ever seen in my life.Think he lost money through 2 Divorces.

Yup. In general, the man is screwed. I've heard crazy stores too and that's when the man and wife were pretty equal. Although there are times, it goes the other way. But for that to happen it really has to be lopsided. I know two cases where the woman ended up needing to pay the hubby, since she had a good job and he was probably at half what she was making. So it does happen. It's actually very interesting when you hear the woman telling stories and trying to scramble and make deals with the hubby's side before it goes to court. So now they know how it feels.Especially for males. Man...unless you can prove your Wife is a crackhead, mentally unstable b!tch etc. etc., you are screwed financially. It's no fun being a divorcee, take it from me. The female has the advantage by default. When I was in court for a divorce, the judge asked me how I felt about paying Child support. I stated that Child support is our (my wife and I) responsibility and shouldn't fall on an individual. The judge didn't give a rat's ass.
It must suck in No Fault states. I'm not sure if you ever seen any of Christoper Titus' stand-up comedy, but divorce is a huge part of it because he's gone through it. He got accused of being a wife beater and retorted in the act by saying, "The only thing that ever made me want to be a wife beater was being called one."Especially for males. LOL. At my work, there's probably about 20 people I work closely with.... closer to 25 if you include some people who left/fired over the past few years. Off the top of my head for the people who have been married, I think three people are getting divorced now and another 6 or 7 who have already split years ago. And that's for the people I know their marriage history. Possibly add a few more who never told me they divorced. So close to half. My dad always said the divorce rate is around 50% and he's basically spot on. lolThat being said, I will never marry again. lol
