UVGF's first 2.0 thread?
My sons have been playing it quite a bit and I've been watching. It looks very good. No persistent world or anything like that, it's a queuing system for coop matches. As far as I can tell only two players against waves of AI. A lot of map variety and there are unlockables for your gladiator. Very solid from what I can tell but like the main game, not feature-rich. Still, what is there has a high level of polish.I was looking at picking up another Xbox One game and was curious to hear some thoughts on Ryse's Multiplayer. With games like NBA2K and BF4 having online stability issues I was wondering how Ryse stacks up. Is there a lot of people playing? Does it have a good lobby system and are there many maps? noticeable lag or crashing?
Just finished the story and WOW. This game is one of the best I have played and believe me I have played almost every game there is to play. I loved the story, loved the ending, loved the little fantasy elements in play. I want this series to become one of the top dogs for MS. It really has jumped to the top of the list of my favorite games, hopefully turns into franchise.
Please anyone who is doubtful of this game don't be. Go out and buy it, it's well worth it. Hopefully it sells well and many sequels are made.
The last 5 minutes were one of the most epic endings to any action game. NO SPOILERS but for me the ending made it all worth it.

Definitely thinking this is my next game. Your opinions matter to me more than a reviewer rushing for a deadline. User reviews are undoubtedly positive.
I definitely think this is a game you should try out, if only because it offers a preview of what the x1 will offer in terms of visuals.
I know what you mean and I agree, though I couldnt have seen it happen any other way.Yeah the ending was epic!! a bit disappointed for obvious reasons without giving away SPOILERS but looking forward to the next instalment which ever form it may take.
What is interesting is even though IGN gave this a 6.5 I believe, they recommended it for launch game purchase in that article they wrote about which games deserve to be bought during launch. They did not recommend Knack, which scored only a little less.
I really feel this game scored so poorly due to negative media before launch, because user reviews all over the net, even on neogaf, are overwhelmingly positive for a game that scored low on metacritic
