We need a release date. Hard to get hyped when i don't know when i'll be playing it. I'm sure Sea of Thieves will be another flagship multiplayer experience when it does come out though.

Summer seems like a great time for it.
 
I'm going to make a guess of September 19th, 2017...which also happens to be "Talk Like a Pirate Day".

And to think this is from the guys with the big "arrrrrrr" logo, lol. :laugh:

You register on the SoT forum to become an insider, that makes you eligable to be chosen to be in the alpha.
 
It's rather poetic that the forums for this game, is filled with such sea-salty people in regards to the beta.

No-one is entitled to be in a beta. You didn't pay for anything. They don't owe you. Get over it.

Man, millennial mentality can be fun at times, but it gets old rather fast.

That water is just really unique. I believe it is the most realistic I have ever seen despite the cartoonish nature of the overall graphics. Some of those in the alpha remarked how swales and waves play a big part of the fight for navigation in battles as well as racing to treasure. I love how you can become a crew "specialist" in so many areas be it steering, managing sails, navigation, fighting, treasure hunting, or lookout. Harkens back to the smaller co-op efforts needed in games like Left 4 Dead.
