That looks pretty amazing, honestly. I love that they don't hold your hand and make you actually navigate. Very awesome, and without being overly laborious. Lots of risk and reward too. I also really like that the other ship had run out of ammo. This enables bluffing. Very cool. I am SOOO happy that they changed the death animation on the skeletons. It had zero flow or dynamism before. Sure, they just explode, but that at least provides some satisfaction!

The problem with no hand holdinh means it is hard to get s*** done with totally random folk, atleast based on my time playing. so it is def a play with friends or organized group game...if you want a big boy ship.

Probably. If I can get my Brother and his wife in on it, it will be fun times. That and the guys from TAG that I used to play Halo with... I need to get back in there...

It definitely isn't a single-player game. Not in any full-featured sense.

It actually is. Atleast according to the devs.

Unfortunately the alpha didn't have the smaller one man boats in it.

How do you get in?

Part of the Insider Programme, they questionnaire had a section for PC as well as Xbox One. It's still all completely random on how they selected it though, I applied for Xbox and PC, got nixed for Xbox and accepted for PC.

Damn, just realized it starts in 30 mins.

I have to wonder how that^ looks like ass, when games with ships and water used to look like:

I agree the water looks nice but I was thinking more of the island and character graphics. Very simple textures. Guess its just the style though.

Makes me think of Finding Nemo with the realistic water and cartoon characters.

I like how they keep doing playtests and are listening to the feedback. It's a 2018 release so I think there is still a ways to go before we see the final version

last time I made a friend online with a stranger, he hacked my Xbox and stole my credit card info. I suppose I could give it another chance with this game, maybe.

This game looks like it'll be a nice change of pace from my sweaty shooters. I'm thinking that this game will be very different in 2020 than what releases in 2018. I'll be getting in on this ground floor pirate opportunity.

Gamers shouldn't underrate the potential of this game if Microsoft and Rare stick with it. SOT could evolve faster than Destiny did. I also think that Rare would be missing a major opportunity if they don't have islands themed after different Microsoft and Rare IPs. A Conkers island, Battletoad island and Banjo island should be no-brainers.

See? Making friends with strangers and telling tales of adventures.

"Yaaaarrr, he ran up $2K at Autozone. Yaaaaarrr!"

When seemingly innocent conversations turn to: "Now that we've been hanging out a bit, I've always wondered your mother's maiden name, your father's birthplace, and your first pet's name".
