Sony acquires Onlive's patents

Their lack of money problem has zero to do "with then buying up exclusives and all"...
Ok, that was actually quite humorous. I was being facetious, though.

See, people like to talk about how they (Sony) don't have any money to do anything, but when they go and purchase something out of left field, suddenly we hear, 'oh.....well this is why it happened'.

How can they waste money that they don't supposedly have? Either their situation is bad or not as gloomy as some people would like to make it out to be.

Obviously, they had big plans when they went after the acquisition other wise they never would have done it -- especially if their situation is as bad as some would like to believe. I say make up your minds already. If you're going to hate, at least be consistent.

Their situation is definitely as bad as it's made out to be, years of billion dollar losses don't make for a healthy company.

Ok, So how can they afford to not only spend money but waste money?

Again, be consistent.

I never said they were wasting their money, that was you and another member. I merely said their situation is as bad as their own corporate reports indicate.

Ok.... Which means they had a GOOD REASON for going after the acquisition then. Don't you think?

Of course they did, otherwise they wouldn't have bought OnLive.

And that is all I was getting at.

The logical side hurts only when you only choose to see the situation from a bias perspective, and I think that's what many fear most.

Apparently you haven't as Sony can do no wrong.
No one said that. If fact, this was made known by Sony when comparing cloud gaming to actual gaming. This "lag" he's talking about is so subtle you barely even notice it when playing. He makes it seem like you are using a camera to do hand gestures or something when the actual movement is close to that of touch screen if not exactly.

I was just joking. It will be interesting to see what Sony does with this aquisition.

That's how it became so powerful? LOL

Them getting deals with Namco, Square, Capcom, etc. definitely helped considering those brands were tied with Nintendo before the PS1 gen. CD format helped alongside those deals too.

You have all the answers but are always on the losing team/s.

:txbconfused: Not sure what that's suppose to mean.

You should probably use the service first. It helps a lot.

I used it during the beta and noticed no lag at all, it's still not something I'd pay to use as I'm not interested in paying to play old games with no upgrades to them but I was pleasantly surprised with how well the service worked.

Yeah $ony Micro$ofted their way into the industry.

I'm on two losing teams this gen. But also on the winning team. I feel special.
