Early access is for the full game not the beta

Yeah I believe this is true, but I tweeted the official account to confirm this and no response yet.

Nothing from the beta will carry over to the full game though.

EA Access rocks. Good thing too, since there's so few demos coming out this gen. Test out an EA game 5 days early. If it sucks, cancel pre-order before it ships.

Too many other games that I probably won't even play the beta. After Fallout this is my most anticipated game, but I'll probably just wait until the real thing. I'm getting it regardless.

No what? Multiple articles across the internet state that both consoles and the PC get the beta on the 8th. No early access.

Put it in multiplatform.

I put the info there too...but we should keep this thread open for future X1-specific discussion.

EGX 2015: Star Wars Battlefront impressions
Star-Wars-Battlefront.jpg

With limited time at EGX, first on my hit list was Star Wars Battlefront. Sure, there were other games on my list that I was more excited for, but the Star Wars fan in me was screaming to make this my first hit to see if the game could deliver on the Star Wars and Battlefront promises made by DICE.

Introducing our play session was a video deck of Admiral Akbar, and after a short briefing I was running across the surface on Hoth. It’s huge, open and rather intimidating. While there are pointers to objectives, you are left to your own devices, admittedly making me feel a little lost as to where I was going and what our objective was, which was to support an attack on a Rebel base with two AT-ATs in a 20 vs. 20 match.

To merely say that Battlefront looked stunning doesn’t nearly do the game justice enough. It was unbelievable. The draw distance, the textures, and the attention to detail – it was overwhelming – after I had finished playing, I wasn’t quite sure if I had just taken part in the new movie or played a video game. You really feel entwined into the Star Wars universe; you are a grunt struggling to fight for the Empire (or attempting to repel the invasion as the Rebels). The whole experience took me back to my childhood memories of the film and toys I grew up with.

The game played really well, and no it doesn’t play like a reskinned Battlefield! The game lasted for around 20 minutes, although it seemed to be over in the blink of an eye. I need more from the game to give a definite yay or nay.

The only thing that will kill me I wont be able to play with friends in a matchmaking. If I can't bring my crew with me then fu*k this game and every DICE games.

Them dropping the server browser makes it more likely that that won't be a problem but I don't fully trust it either so glad there is a beta.

Dice sucks at keeping friends together
I kinda feel like this week all the way up to and after launch is the beta. Who knows, maybe they'll shock us all with a game that is near finished by launch.

I'll check it out although I'm not super excited for it. I like the idea but just seems like BF clone and not something more like the previous games. And I'm not really a fan of the current BF games.
