That is true, 2D Mario games are huge sellers. In fact, I think it's still the highest selling Wii U game to date.
 
That bundled tablet is weighing Wii U down. It's getting in the way of price cuts and making Nintendo lose money on each sale.

I hope they can pull it together because we don't need more companies throwing in the towel on console gaming.
 
Man I want this game bad. But I blew a ton of money on two next gen consoles and six games in the past week.
 
This is one game that I had been waiting for to pick up a Wii U. Looking at sometime early next year maybe.

I dunno about that and I expect this new 3D Mario to sell more then the 2D ones on the Wii U.

It might do. I was just speaking on how it has been over the past few years. The future is anyone's guess.
 
I was speaking of now and the future as the Mario galaxies sold more then the 2D game on Wii and the new 3D Mario's should outsell the the current 2D offerings.
 
Is the Wii U still hard to find or what? I'm looking at Best Buy and Amazon and not finding sht.

NSMB Wii sold ore than 2 times what Mario Galaxy sold. The 2D games are more popular, probably because they are easier for children and casuals.

Really? That's a good sign, I really hope sales pick up. I tried the PS4 and One at my friends yesterday and was underwhelmed. Kinect still sucks IMO.
 
Its because places stopped ordering stock due to low sales.

Sad day when this gets outsold by Knack in the UK.
 
Perhaps Knack is the next Mario? These are dark days for gaming.
 
I am about to start this tonight co op with my fiancee, I know I am late but we are really looking forward to playing this, just picked it up yesterday with my new Wii U.

Any tips or tricks I should know? I found a way to get a bunch of free guys in New Super Mario Bros U when I owned it last year(used to have a WIi U, sold it and just bought again). Also there is a hidden character correct? Is she easy to get and do you get her early on?

No you don't get the hidden character right away, I never got it I beat the game and was playing the hidden worlds then my daughter erased my file:mad: You can get infinite lives in world 1-2

My fiancee and I played the first two worlds last night and what a blast this game is! We did not want to go to bed, she kept saying how much better this is then New Super Mario U which I agree its better but not "so much better", they are both great but different games. I did the infinite lives cheat which was easy, we are really looking forward to playing again tonight.

I think I am going to buy the Wii U Pro controller tomorrow, any of you have this and how do you like it with this game?

Nice, I think I would prefer this. How does it work with the levels that need the touch screen. I forget which level it was but it was in the 2nd world and you needed to use the touch screen to move things the entire level? I assume you would have to turn your gamepad on and then switch back, does the game allow that?

to be honest I dont remember running into any issues ? I remember using the game pad to blow on the microphone but cannot recall having issues when using just the pro controller. My memory could also be failing lol.

Yeah I am curious how those levels would work with the pro controller, I remember blowing for one of the levels and needing the touch screen.
