Actually Mario Odyssy has better visuals than most Xbox games and PlayStation games simply because that simplistic art design allows more pristine and intensive visual effects to be useable.
Nah its currently 720p which the net has been telling us gen is a disgrace..... well until MS announced the most powerful console that was.

Yeah but people have been more or less telling us to sell or xbox ones because games aren't always 1080p.

I don't know who you are taking this up with, but the Nintendo Switch is producing some awesome graphics thanks to its more simplistic visual style.
Just go read every DF topic on this site alone.
I've not complained about is graphics just pointing out the usual few aren't being critical on Nintendo for this yet have used against ms gen
Some are 720, but those are not the rule. If you want first party, that's 1080 for the most part. Certainly the big 3.
I don't get it. You are complaining that DF highlights resolution differences. That's kind of their job. As far as the other thing, we don't usually expect Nintendo to have decent horsepower, but we do have different expectations for Microsoft's Xbox.
That's because they don't have the balls to do so, and that they see no threat from Ninty. So they don't really care. The last thing a Sony gamer wants is a really good MS game because that makes their PS system less attractive, and lazy development especially when an X1 game is shown to run better, or has a solid set of games like the Forza games. Notice how no Sony fan brings up GT anymore, since the last few weren't anything special and T10 keeps churning out great racers every year. The only thing you may hear is GT is the best selling racing series, but you never hear anything about quality, review ratings or detailed gameplay.
Whether it's another underpowered Ninty system, absurd pricing, and the fact online is a hassle by making gamers download a Nintendo app to do party chat on their own smartphone, all while charging people online fees, they know Ninty's system doesn't look too attractive.
When Wii launched, it was in the ball park of last gen power. When Wii U launched, it was in the ballpark of last gen. Switch is coming out and it doesn't seem close to X1/PS4. It's like Switch will be somewhere between Wii U and X1. And still for $300 and $70+ controllers. A joy con + middle grip is $110 alone. In Canada it's about $150!

Disgrace is how many 720p games are on the XBD.
Or how PS4 games can have worse frame rate and AF despite being 40% more powerful.
Higher res,better visuals in most games which=better versions of most games =win win
That's an amazing video. A GTA mod based on an old game looks better than Mario Odyssey. Mario's head looks better in that mod than in any actual Ninty game in their history. And since it's a mod, it was probably one guy in his basement who did it.
No I Said read the comments on DF topics on this site and see how many here said anything less than 1080p was unacceptable with Xbox but are now fine with it on Nintendo.
720p is unacceptable for a console competing with the PS4. Nintendo on the other hand is different.
The Wolf King Nintendo Switch is a hybrid handheld/home console competing with the growing smartphone market. If you think the Xbox One should be compared to a small gaming tablet, then I can see that side too.
Price point puts it in competition with the other two. Although it will generally be looked at as a secondary console.
Yeah the hardware is far to expensive, especially the accessories. THe console could be 300, seeing how it is a hybrid they could sell it at that point if they had a good marketing campaign also they'd need this Mario Game on launch for that. The thing is: Paid Online, Clumsy Online App, Expensive extra controllers? It all adds up to a "no buy". I mean an Xbox One S you can get for 199 and you often can get a game with 2 controllers with it for that price!
Sure it isn't a hybrid, but if a parent is shopping for a game console for their kids? And sees the Xbox one S or the normal PS4 (not the Pro)... that is cheaper... with a free game and cheaper extra controllers? Yeah.. they'll be skipping Nintendo.
If people think free mobile games are better than 1st party Nintendo games, I am going to assume they have never even played a Nintendo game. lmao
