Superman - James Gunn To Write And Direct - July 11, 2025

We should just have a transgendered, asian, tourretts, dwarf person play Bugs Bunny. Let's just change everything. I mean, the all female cast of Ghostbusters was a HUGE hit, right? /s Because they couldn't make a new movie with all women that take down ghosts as a new IP?

Also, lol
Why marvel and DC doesn't just make new black superheroes instead of black washing the white ones is beyond me.
They just made Ms Marvel and she's great, they clearly can make new superheroes that get liked.

Yup, this. We could have SuperBlackMan. Or what if we get Wonder Man? Or a man to play Wonder Woman?

Look how they did Miles Morales. NAILED IT.

Breh it's just a movie. That said, Superman comics has a long history of social commentary, so this shouldn't surprise anyone.

This is true. I just end up being set in my ways from when I was little. If a superhero was always black and they made them white, or if they were always a man and then made them a girl and vice versa, it's just "change", and I can get over it. But you grow with these characters, and to see them be changed can be startling at first.

To me, Ghostbusters is those guys. Always has been, always will be. I saw the trailer that it was girls for the new movie, and I was like NOPE. Not because they were girls. But because I grew up knowing and loving those guys doing it.

I just need to be better at accepting change. In the end, it's better for everyone really.

It wasn't so much the characters but the actors that played them. Making Ghostbusters 3 with new actors as the old characters would have been just as s***ty as the reboot it would have just seen less internet raging for obvious reasons.

If they would have made it "Ghostgirls" or something, I might have been more inclined to see it, and not have it related to the Ghostbusters IP at all. Or, if there was say, Sigourney Weaver had a daughter in the original Ghostbusters and the daughter grew up and they did a spin off where the daughter (and Sigourney Weaver is a cameo in the movie as her mom) takes over and the movie had a different name maybe.

For me, Nathan Drake is Uncharted. If they are done with Nathan, I don't want to see Nathan replaced. But I would like an Uncharted spinoff, still in the Uncharted world, but his daughter is the main character.

Again, in the end, it doesn't matter. I make more out of it than I should.

The female Ghostbusters movie didn't suck because of the actors. They're all usually funny actors - the writing in the movie just plain sucked. Not even the OG Ghostbusters could have saved that movie.

Change can be new and refreshing. However that Ghostbusters movie was a poor attempt at pure pandering without putting any effort into the writing. And it showed.

Its also just an example of Hollywood being creatively bankrupt.

We can't really make anything new but we can't to make it look like we are>reboot a movie and make the cast all women

Looking forward to a new Charlie’s Angels with Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Chuck Norris. Charlie is played by Queen Latifa.

Reports that WB want Steven Spielberg to direct.

And they want
Daniel Craig

To play

Brainiac

Feel they need to build that one up and have him as the next bad guy for the Justice League.

Possibly dead again? Or a reboot with Cavill still in the role.
