I blame the media for completely failing to vet the candidates and letting this become a circus while they chase after ratings.
Amazingly, FOX News anchors claim to not understand the rise of Trump when IMO they set the stage for him. You get people used to jackass like O'reilly then they easily be comfortable supporting someone like Trump.

I agree with vid and am also adding. People are ultimately voting for those like themselves, though most won't admit it. Everyone says they hate politicians because they only do what is best in their own self-interest, lie, or take advantage of their position. Thing is that is that so will a lot of people when they have the means too; right. I forget the psychology terminology but everyone(me too; to a point as well) thinks they are a special snowflake - or the hero of their own story if you will - that's why people take a car pool with no passenger or run red a light, etc... Until people grow up we will be stuck with getting clowns in these important positions, because we will vote for those with our same flaws. It does seem like we're voting for even bigger clowns now, which is sad and probably says quite a bit about where we may be headed as a species.
Also, before Trump took off, I've seen a weird embrace of Duck Dynasty. I only mention them because again, the media let them appear as guests offering political commentary.
Phil Robertson for the most part IMO is a fictional character as he exists on a coached and scripted reality TV show. He shouldn't have anymore credibility than someone from WWE(which oddly enough includes Trump).
It's like the media has by accident more than design created a bizarro political wormhole.

Apparently Trump putting in ramps for disabled people makes him a great and noble person, "Nobody's better to people with disabilities than me. I spent millions and millions of dollars on buildings taking care of people with disabilities."
He forgets to add that the Americans with Disabilities Act made him do so. If not for that he would probably have signs on his buildings saying NO CRIPPLES ALLOWED!
Of course he would have had signs like that . . The less people gambling and spending money at his casinos the better for him.

Evan McMullin, a former CIA counterterrorism officer, will run for president as a third-party conservative alternative to Donald Trump, GOP operatives working to back the candidate told ABC News today.
The operatives working on McMullin's bid resigned from Better for America in order to work on his candidacy. The operatives from the group, a 501(c)(4) organization that cannot officially endorse or back McMullin's bid, has been working for months on trying to select a candidate and get on ballots throughout the country. In some states, like Texas, they will likely have to sue to get on the ballot. A 501(c)(4) is an issue-based nonprofit that can raise unlimited funds and does not have to disclose its donors.
McMullin’s candidacy, backed by some Republicans, shows how the “Never Trump” movement is still working to upend Trump even with less than three months left until the general election. McMullin may be a long shot, but will have a legitimate organization behind him.
McMullin, who resigned this morning as chief policy director of the House Republican Conference, will file today and in a statement told ABC News exclusively:
“In a year where Americans have lost faith in the candidates of both major parties, it’s time for a generation of new leadership to step up. It’s never too late to do the right thing, and America deserves much better than either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton can offer us. I humbly offer myself as a leader who can give millions of disaffected Americans a conservative choice for President.”

Not really. What else do you do other than compare the candidates against each to find the one you want? There is no way someone can find a candidate and agree with everything they have ever done in their life and every issue they believe in.

She's going to uphold and continue Obamacare. She's going to appoint someone to the Supreme Court that won't set America back 100 years by reversing same sex marage and allowing states to make abortions illegal. She's going to overhaul the college credit system. She's also said she's going to close tax loopholes for business and fully end Bush's tax cuts that have been a deficit nuke.
As for what she's done in the past. She helped 9/11 victims, business, fire/police men received funding for loses, health, etc. as well as get the funding for a new World Trade Center. That is in addition to her numerous children and family initiatives she's undertaken. She visited more than 100 countries on dimplomatic missions to help resolutions with the US.
Who did she get killed?
